Discovering last year’s Hysterical Love Project’s self-released debut album “Endless Bliss Weekender” was a personal highlight. Resulting in a release on Knekelhuis as Ike Zwanikken at the ‘and felt like...’ compilation. Hysterical Love Project is the project from the love couple Brooklyn & Ike. In which they craftfully compose a refreshing modern take on the slow sensual realm of Triphop, Ambient and hazy shoegaze. 

They will release their first physical album soon on the amazing label Motion Ward. And there is an unreleased upcoming track in here. Bliss.

Amelia Holt here. One of my favourite human beings that crossed my path the last few years. From the late nights in New York last year, to her Public Records invite, to a b2b night in Radio Radio in Amsterdam. 
This is the recording from an amazing openingset at her own party called Honey Trap, in NYC. Getting into a spectrum of steamy downtempo, triphop & smokey deep dubs in underwater realms.

After closing our recent event at 90mil for Slowfoam's album launch, André set about to capture the essence of his set and the evening into a new mix for us.

Reflecting back, it was truly special to see the coming together of such diverse social spheres and how quickly all was broken down in the atmosphere of Andre's music. At the core, his sets are a total celebration of life, an invitation to dance no matter how undanceable or mysterious the song. Music you’ve never heard becomes the music you’ve known all your life.

Across fluctuating tension and rhythm, all sorts of worlds intertwine… digi-dub morphs to acid to avant-folk in perfect harmony. But what stands out most is the pure admiration for DIY music; it’s the curation of a tender heart, finding the purest of souls in the strangest of music. 

Towards the close of this wonderful set, Laurie Anderson recalls ‘I remember where I came from, there were tropical breezes and a wide open sea, I remember my childhood, I remember being free.’ It’s a sentiment that embodies the experience of André music, an invitation to be utterly lost in the most beautiful ephemeral moment, that melancholy-tinged euphoria in the instant before it’s all over, stretched out for eternity.

Roma Nemov curates a radio show 'Manipulations', in which the guests speak up / soundtrack their attitudes to and views on manipulation. He has also a monthly show 'Jamais Entendu' on Lyl Radio, focusing on his preference for the unusual and unheard. He works as a stylist and visual merchandiser, combining clothes and finding harmony. He has a passion for modernist architecture, last year fulfilling a dream, when he spent a night at Le Corbusier's Unité d'habitation.

He feels like there's one big room where you meet people similar to you. Talk or be silent. Exchange. Seek out these people around the world and invite them into the room. He's afraid of heights, when he lived on the 23rd floor, he never looked out the window. He studied film directing for five years, just because he loves Antonioni too much and romanticized the profession. For some reason he always draws vases on different pieces of paper, when he has more time, flowers appear in these vases.

Roma's mix covers a lot of different sentiments and sceneries, it's emo(tional) and electric. Few times switching from half- to double-time, often changing dramatically, because one never knows what will occur next…

Alessio Capovilla released his enchanting album Permanent Rain at the end of 2023 through Knekelhuis. Based in Torino, he co-runs the visionary label Gang of Ducks alongside Sabla—a boundless exploration of mutant techno, avant-jazz, ethereal soundscapes, and folk influences. Among the many gems from the label, Anna Homer's work has become my personal favorite, weaving a spellbinding sonic journey.
