Being the crazy fan of the neo-Victorian fashion genre known as steampunk as I am, I'm looking for music that speaks to the steamy side of me. Mainly electronic music mixed with hints of industrial ambience.

Well I'm 26 year old drummer living in Calgary with a brain full of melodies and arrangements, ALL of which come to me at 2:00am! I started playing when I was 13. My dad "Johnny V" got me into music being a Juno winning, Canadian blues hall of fame guitar player (plug ;) and what not and having a seemingly endless amount of records, tapes, cds, etc. for me to listen to! I've found my tastes to be in Metal, Funk, Prog, and Classical but I will not shy away from anything that can be classified as music (insert sub-genre joke here).

Feel free to check out my shtuff as for I will be putting my random tunes up on this page as well as my recordings I deem "listenable". I've also got some drum covers of some other tunes up on youtube (see link above) and my demo "Warlord" is up for sale on littlev.bandcamp.com (see link above) if you feel inclined to support my musical habits.

LEE PRESSON is a participant in, or perhaps even the leader of, none other than that award -winning San Francisco swing band LEE PRESSON AND THE NAILS.  When not tearing it up with LPN he plays around with a computer.

Rouge! is Chicago's premiere monthly Electro-Swing night curated by Vourteque and Mr. Automatic of Dead 2 Me Records ( www.dead2merecords.com), with burlesque performance curated by Lady Lenux.  Each month features DJ sets of Electro Swing, dancing, live burlesque, and frequent guest performances by bands and DJs in the international scene.

Mr. Automatic is a Milwaukee-based Producer and DJ. He is responsible for co-founding Rouge! Electro Swing, Front 312 at Neo, as well as Roaring City Festival and Calliope Presents. His sets are known for their eclecticism and genre-hopping. He began his career spinning Electro and Indie Dance music, and quickly started combining elements of Italo, Disco, Industrial and 80's New Wave into his production and DJ mixes.

With the rise in visibility of the Steampunk scene in Chicago, he started getting booked to play events that required a more "vintage" take on modern dance music. During this time, he discovered Electro Swing and produced a handful of singles, remixes, and and two EPs in the genre. Electro Swing turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it led to residencies at Untitled Supper Club in Chicago as well as the Foundation Room at House of Blues. During this time, he opened for a number of acts including Meute and Caravan Palace, and played all over the United States, as well as playing with Dutty Moonshine just outside of Bristol, England.

Over the past few years, his interests have varied from resurrecting his long-running Computer Love night with Le Sprite and Marty Mars, DJing Italian Soundtracks at a Giallo cinema festival, and producing Dark Synth music as Scream City, as well as ambient music under Bill Netherlands (his design and animation alias).

He has headlined the Steampunk Ball in Tampa Florida, DJed the silent disco and Carousel Club/Hangar at Electric Forest, played Swingtronic in Los Angeles, The Edwardian Ball in New Orleans, and played numerous private events, including Daybreaker and Danny Boyle's afterparty for Trainspotting 2. He was a co-producer of Nu Disco act "Square Frames", wrote music and played keys with Many Moons and is a member of the occasional Kraftwerk cover band super-group "Death on the Autobahn", which includes members of Kill Hannah, Alinka, Stabbing Westward, Echodroides.
