We are thrilled to have legendary Chicago House and Downtempo DJ and Producer Mark Farina kicking off his new monthly “Mushroom Jazz” residency here on OpenLab! 
The first episode is a downtempo adventure inspired by a late 90’s trip to Ibiza. Don’t miss out:

"Somewhere around 1999/2000, DJ Sneak and I arrived in Ibiza, but our luggage, including our vinyl crates did not. We spent the next 36 hours driving back and forth from the Saint Eulalia area checking for our vinyl after every flight with our airline. This was pre-cell phone era, so communication was sparse at best. After at least 6-8 trips back and forth, they arrived on the last flight possible to have records for our gig. I have been blessed to host a night of the Chill-Out stage the last couple years at the best little festie that never happened here in So Cal - The Gathering.  As the party is hosted by the impecacble Chino Sound, I get to play pretty bass music the way it was meant to be experienced.  For the 11th year, I ended up playing a 10-hour set, but as luck would have it, my recorder only captured the first ~6 hours.
