Here's what each of them has to say about "Entangled":

Stan (Sam Goodman): 
“The idea to name the track ‘Entangled’ stemmed from the concept of two artists weaving ideas together to form one whole, complete piece.  It can be viewed as entangled in terms of ideas, but also sonic qualities, like how my end of this project was mostly the acoustic end while Mitch took care of most of the digital elements.”

Scatz (Mitch Bilodeau): 
“And me being me, it's difficult to avoid my inner science nerd that also associates entanglement with quantum physics and the laws of our universe. This idea that two independent particles can entangle and then share properties regardless of how close together they are is thought-provoking and inspiring. I find it kind of related to how Sam and I worked together on this track --separated by the distance between our homes, but still bringing our individual visions together to one cohesive piece that plays back and forth within itself.”


While Stan & Scatz each have very distinct, unique sounds, their fusion is an entirely different animal altogether.  Individually, they each thrive in the realm of melodic bass music, utilizing their skills as multi-instrumentalists to record organic, original melodies on a multitude of different instruments.  It’s no surprise, then, that their collaboration follows suit and delivers a refreshing dose of originality and musicality.

“Entangled” begins with a simple acoustic guitar melody that eases the listener into a space of thoughtful contemplation, utilizing the silence between the notes to create a feeling of spaciousness.  A second guitar eventually joins in and fills those spaces with complementary plucks in a higher octave, formulating the melody that will drive the rest of the song.  Now comes the fun part- a beat comes in with creatively-timed bass kicks and enough low end to vibrate your ear wax into a slimy paste.  The way the sub-bass rolls through different frequencies and intensities makes the listener feel as though he is riding a roller coaster, as the subtle shifts and crescendos create depth and shape within the soundscape.  

“Entangled” progresses and evolves as additional layers and melodies are introduced, demonstrating the vision and technical skill of these two top-notch producers.  Grab your free download and share!

Chill track I made for Virtus in Sonus IV.  Creepin' through the woods type shit.

For the fourth year running, Gravitas Music is proud to present the fourth volume of the Virtus In Sonus compilation. The selection of songs spotlights a slice of Gravitas’ massive pool of international talent, including tracks from Mr. Bill, ill-esha, Psymbionic, Of The Trees, Unlimited Gravity, AMB and more. A myriad of electronic genres are represented throughout, with the influences of downtempo, glitch hop, trap, and hybrids thereof. Although the 16 tracks showcase a healthy variety, there is still distinct flow for the duration of the track listing; beginning slow and dreamy, the pace progressively shifts to a more danceable momentum before ending on a somewhat somber tone.

In 2013, Chloe Herry entered Mr. Bill's Cheyah remix competition, which was hosted via Gravitas Recordings. After earning second place, label founder Jesse Brede knew he discovered someone special. Constantly inspired by her music, Gravitas had the honor of releasing multiple projects with CloZee, notably Revolution, Harmony, and Evasion. Through the years, she has risen to one of Gravitas's top artists. Now two albums, multiple EPs, and countless singles later, CloZee has emerged as an electronic music phenomenon and pioneer of the world bass genre.
 
As CloZee begins an unprecedented venture with her new Odyzey Records imprint, she is returning to Gravitas to help raise up the next generation of new artists. In collaboration with Gravitas Recordings, CloZee has curated her first ever compilation. Titled Emergence, the compilation champions emerging and established artists in the bass realm, weaving them together in one unified tracklist of 15 songs. In a time of great division and strife, Emergence symbolizes the beauty of collective through hopeful music. From known names such as Fakear and Esseks to rising talent such as NotLö and capshun, Emergence is all about discovery.
