Since their inception in late 2011, the Nordic heavy noise rockers BARREN WOMB have been raising both eyebrows and hell with their minimalistic approach, earsplitting volume and defiant experimentation. The duo make efficient use of crude dynamics and the power of the riff to hammer their point across.

Barren Womb might be the hardest working band of the entire Norwegian underground, touring relentlessly, always giving it what it takes. They have played well over 250 shows in the US and Europe so far, sharing stages with among others Entombed A.D., Voivod, Conan, Nomeansno and Årabrot, and have played festivals like SXSW, by:Larm, Tallinn Music Week, Øya and Pstereo.

TOMBSTONES has taken up on their Norse heritage, evolving from their previous stoner-influenced sound, now descending into the dark side of the gloom. “Vargariis” finds the band leaning towards the bleak and desperate, assaulting the listener with their blackened, thunderous wall of fuzz and despair. 

Two years of intensive touring alongside bands such as Eyehategod, Church of Misery, Egypt and Witch Mountain have kept the band active, and the result unveils in the energy and live presence felt on “Vargariis”. 

The last couple of years Tombstones has appeared on the legendary Roadburn Festival, Desertfest, Freak Valley Festival, Muskelrock, Doom Over Leipzig, and tours in support of "Vargariis" in 2016 are in the works

Prosthetic Records was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1998 by friends and metalheads, E.J. Johantgen and Dan Fitzgerald.
