‘VALENTINE’ is no doubt one of the fastest rising Afrobeat artist in the UK. The young African with total star quality is now in the scene of Afrobeat with his own genre called Afro&B.  Multiple awarding winning  Afro-beat singer, song writer and dancer, Valentine, known for his high energy, electrifying and intensive performances has being compared with the likes of P Square, Usher and Chris Brown and influenced by the one and only icon, Michael Jackson. Having opened up for Davido, Oskido (I Believe Tour Dublin) and was the main act for African Fashion Week London 2014. Afrobeat sensation Valentine won The International Online Award for Best Male act in the Unsigned Artist category, awarded Best male R&B artist in 2013 and also Special Honour award at the BEFFTA Award 2013 for Young Achievers, in addition has Won BEFFTA award 2012 for Best Male Artist of the year. Valentine is looking to go beyond the UK and introduce to the world his smooth soulful voice, captivating moves, and total star appeal. He hopes to leave behind his own legacy from his musical gift. During his R&B days,Valentine had over 1 million views on his hit single 'Entertain You' and over 2 million views on his YouTube channel as a whole. He is creating an impeccable industry buzz and proving to be a formidable entertainer. Valentine was born in Douala, Cameroon on the 9th of June1987, from the young age of 4 had already displayed star qualities and showmanship. He regularly entertained small crowds with his dance moves while displaying confidence and attitude beyond his years. At the tender age of 9, Valentine joined his parents in the UK where he found a platform to develop his talent. He started off as a dancer and picked up singing at a young age. His first ever major performance was when he was 11 years old, he wowed the crowd and was featured in the local newspaper (Newham Gazette). Valentine found the church to be the perfect training ground to exercise his voice and fuel his passion for the art. Joining his local church choir at the age of 15 was instrumental in forging his talent as a singer, and doing regular street dance performances also helped him in self belief to take his music career to another level as a complete performer. Valentine improved his knowledge of music by working with many underground artists, joining artist development classes, and still performing with Solid Harmony and Revelation Choir. Being recognised as a great performer, he is also known as a great poetic writer which developed his skill for song writing. Valentine gained experience through his struggle, chosen career path, and strive for success which he incorporates through out his songs. Persevering to become the artist he is today,Valentine is blessed with a great voice as well as being a dedicated performer. Continuously singing songs to make people smile, laugh, cry, but still be influenced towards the positive direction in life. Valentine gazed an epic performance through London Fashion Week,African London Fashion Week and in BEFFTA Award as well as top performances through out the U.K. He was inspired by a vast range of award winning artist such as the likes of Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Usher, Chris Brown, R.Kelly, Ginuwine, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Mario, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Jagged Edge, D’Angelo,Jodeci and to name a few. Valentine believes God plays a fundamental aspect in his life and in his career . As a christian,he puts God first before anything and believes that hard work, perseverance, education, & faith are all the foundations that have helped him become the man as well as the artist he is today.
