Raised on a small ranch in Bristow, OK, he was born into a truly musical family and later travelled the country touring with his Father, also a musician and quite possibly the most impactful musical influence on C.J.’s styling. Music is C.J.’s defining characteristic but also manages to maintain his “Jack of all Trades” nature. He is an avid hunter, and has done so in the most exotic of places (let him tell you a story or two and you’ll see what I mean!)-he’s also one heck of a cook! There’s nothing C.J. does that’s half-hearted.

2Steel Girls from NBC’s, The Voice are the only mother-daughter duo to appear on the show to date.  And yes, you read that right, they’re mother and daughter.

Personally mentored by country music superstar, Blake Shelton, Allison and Krystal appeared on three episodes of the show before breaking another major barrier: They became the first music artists to ever launch a debut, independent single with a live performance in front of millions of viewers on the Today Show all because of a fan initiated campaign.  Now, how cool is that!?!?!?

2Steel Girls have opened for some awesome, music artists and headlined quite a few pretty cool shows on their own.  They’ve also had the rare honor of playing shows with celebrity comedian, Larry the Cable Guy, and performances on the Hallmark Channel, RFD TV, Fox , etc.

You may recognize Crystal as the striking, power vocalist in the country trio Trailer Choir. Having spent the last three years recording, performing, and touring the country as part of the group, she has shared the stage opening for artists including Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Merle Haggard and many more. During this time has been seen performing the National Anthem for millions live on ABC for the Nascar AAA400 Series at Dover International Speedway, and her voice could be heard on radio stations across the country. You could tune in to see her in music videos aired nationally on CMT and GAC, posing on the red carpet at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas, singing live on the 2010 CMT Music Awards, or living out one of her biggest dreams of singing on the infamous Grand Ole Opry stage.

Crystal recently left Trailer Choir to take some time off from touring to focus on songwriting. She is now taking another big step and launching her solo career. "The past three years have been amazing. Like many that move to Nashville to pursue a dream, I dropped out of college and never looked back. I look at these last few years as 'getting my degree on the road!' I got to work with my friends every day and do what I love the most. It was an absolutely incredible learning experience," she says. 

A trusted troubadour for hot summer nights and cold beers, Owen is now in his forties, tangling with separations from lost lovers, raising kids, and growing out of the fresh-faced kid that headed down to Nashville 20 years back with a six-string and a dream.  Case in point: Dreams to Dream, Owen’s long-awaited, Shooter Jennings-co-produced foray into classic, honky-tonk country, out November 7 via Good Company Entertainment. Dreams to Dream, Owen’s first independent studio album, featuring 10 original tracks and two stellar covers, tells the tale of a man at a crossroads — and what it takes to set out a new path. 

Owen wasn’t expecting much when he commented on one of Shooter Jennings’ Instagram posts, half-jokingly suggesting that they make a honky-tonk record, but the producer called his bluff. Two days later, Owen’s manager had Jennings on the line and, soon, Owen was on his way to L.A. and Jennings’ Sunset Sound. It was a cozy yet electric scene: Jennings and Owen cracking jokes in the sepia-toned studio, creativity crackling as they collaborated with the likes of songwriters Ben Chapman and Kendell Marvel, as well as long-time shooter pal, guitarist/harmonic player Leroy Powell. 

“All my friends who have heard my stuff have gone, ‘Dude, Jake, this is you man. This is who you've always tried to be,’” Owen says. “Sometimes you need to get outside what's comfortable, what people think you are, or think you should be, and take a risk.”
