@biocym is an artistic project from Italy that seeks to awaken emotions by expressing it's feelings towards reality and the use of atmospheres and scenarios reflected in its sound. The main nucleus of his work reflects the attitude that man must embody in order to move in a dark and inscrutable reality that he must face when he inevitably explores it.
Biocym represents the way in which the artist approaches the way of awakening in himself by contemplating the infinite variety of landscapes of reality and proposes his progressive deepening. His music is the meeting point of his two influences: natural sounds and those other sounds generated by his creativity.

Artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He orientates his research in sensitive and complex minimalism, experimenting with Sci Fi sounds and sharp rhythms, apart from his work as a composer he is also accompanied by an intense curation of hypnotic music when performing live.

Movement is the ultimate destination of his work, both for the body and the mind, a story where the listener interprets freely and gives back with energy, abstract landscapes, polyrhythmic patterns, dense textures, enveloping basses and a Latin heart.

A tunnel, a rainy sea, a waking city.

Mike Parker joins the podcast this week! The aesthetic or theme behind Mike’s music is easily of the most recognizable in techno today. The hypnotic and minimalist approach to his music often results in tracks featuring nothing more than a synth and a kick drum.

In this episode, Dustin goes in-depth with Mike about the reasoning and the process behind this approach. The two recount Mike’s resurgence of sorts about 5-6 years ago. They also dig into Mike’s music history, his career as a college professor, the recent debut of his live set, and what’s making Mike tick as a DJ today. He released his Lustrations LP in 2014 on Prologue along with a slew of great EPs on various labels since then. January saw the release of a remix comissioned by Spectral Records for MATRiXXMAN’s debut album, Homesick.
