Label owner Martyn kicks off the show with the twisted UKG reese bass roller "Frozen Bread Snaps", followed by a nifty dnb workout by Sin, Gremlinz & Jesta called "Door of Guf". The flip features UK "hard drum" master Noire with the headzy "Ballas" and last but certainly not least there's the sonic bliss of "Dusty Glass Bubbles" by the inimitable Parris. Enjoy!

Returning to the fold with a smasher of a release, Sekklow is back on the scene. Courtesy of Reform Music, the well-travelled and supported artist is breaking new ground with a release transcending genres and showcasing the best in the UK’s evolving bass music scene.

Breaks, synths and sumptuous vocal cuts abound – this release hits hard straight away with ‘Let Me Tell Ya’. Crisp melodies partner with a serious bassline to rival anything you’ve heard this year. Synth stabs feature heavily and build to an evocative crescendo at the drop. The effortlessly smooth synth lines continue in to the second track ‘You Can’t Hide’, which are certain to encapsulate and invigorate anyone listening. Subtle vocals and piano laden verses give way to a raucous drop. Jungle flavours, footwork and even dubstep influences are found in this beat – creating a perfect amalgamation to shatter any dancefloor.

Portsmouth based Chris King has had experience in the highest tier of electronic music, gaining support from Emalkay, Rusko and Breakage back in his days of producing dubstep. There is an evolution in his sound which is palpable, and he has shown his skills stretch far beyond just one niche. It is easy to say about someone as experienced as Sekklow – but these tracks show a serious understanding of beats, melodies and structure far beyond the run of the mill producer.

Reform Music provide yet another example of their commitment to repping only the most cutting-edge bass music possible, with much more to come in the future. Keep your ears to the ground as this one is bound to be hammered on the club circuit in the coming months.
