Italian producer Powl makes a strong statement on Techords with his new single ‘Move Like That’, released on 25th September. A stripped-back yet heavy-hitting cut, it thrives on underground energy, driven by relentless bass and haunting vocal chops that give it both grit and atmosphere.

From the first beat, the track locks listeners into its hypnotic rhythm. A weighty low end anchors the production, pushing the sound system hard, while crisp percussion and subtle melodic touches add shape to the groove. The vocal samples are twisted and ghostly, threading through the mix like echoes from another room. Ukrainian megastar Spartaque makes his long overdue return to Respekt with this charging two-tracker. Lead track “Do It Right” barrels along, playing metallic clanks off against a skipping synth sequence and vocal snips. Chicago Loop shuffles the pack, making more of the vocal and injecting some skip and swing into the synths. Rounding the package out is “Never Say No”, a deeper slice of Techno, with moody pads and voices to suck you in.

Fresh off a recent live appearance at Luminosity Beach Festival, the Serbian phenom presents "Aurora," a hypnotic and truly breathtaking progressive opus.

Kicking off with a deep-progressive rhythm, "Aurora" offers an evocative soundscape in the early going, courtesy of lush and sensual pads, as well as a variety of celestially inspired arp lines. The song's most emotionally incisive melodic element arrives shortly thereafter: an ethereal series of pitched-down vocal effects, the soulfulness of which immediately elicits the listener's vulnerability. The progression gently crescendoes, ultimately leading to a cinematic, string-backed orchestral section, which is later joined by a rousing new lead theme, featuring an array of euphonious and euphoric synths. As if birthed from the far reaches of the cosmos, the indelibly poignant theme that arrives at this moment (and continues through the drop) serves as a sort of spiritual beacon for the listener and offers a profound catharsis.

Sonny Wharton has revealed his hotly anticipated new single ‘All or Nothing’, out now via Steve Angello’s SIZE Records. The track, a follow up to his highly acclaimed SIZE release ‘Vice’, contains a deep rumbling bassline, with slowed vocal samples layered over the brooding chords of the production.

  Having established himself as one of the finest producers to emerge from the UK, Sonny kickstarted his music career by winning a mix-tape competition for Renaissance and DJ Mag, which catapulted the British DJ right into the heart of Ibiza’s nightlife, with high profile shows across the Island.

Over the course of his career so far, Sonny has gained strong support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard, as well as Fatboy Slim, who named Sonny his ‘producer of the year’ in 2012. Not stopping there, Carl Cox handpicked Sonny’s single ‘Raindance’ as his ‘Ibiza Tune Of The Summer’ for Radio 1’s Review Show last year. 

Sonny’s skillful ability to captivate the audience with his energetic performances and diverse track selection has seen him take to the decks alongside dance heavyweights Armand Van Helden and Eric Prydz, performing at global venues such as London’s legendary Ministry of Sound and the iconic Glastonbury Festival.
