New York based Australian producer BRUX likes big loud drums. She even named one of the songs on her new EP “Big Kick Energy.” The hardware and drum machine expert met A-Trak — who also likes big loud drums — at The Lot, which led to the Gravy EP getting signed to Fool’s Gold and now we can all enjoy these fun, bombastic club tracks. “Embers” is an immediate standout, while the title track “Gravy” features Baltimore legend TT The Artist. BRUX expertly grabs elements of many generations of dance music and creates a digest that is uniquely hers.

A-Trak cooked up another batch of raw SP1200 bangers and this 3rd installment is extra crunchy. Using the vintage sampler that helped define the sound of Todd Terry, Stardust and Kenny Dope, and working within the confines of its extremely short sample time, Trizzy went to work and concocted some gold. Whether it’s the insanely funky bassline of Like I Said, the hardgroove chugging of JustCantLive or the surprising techno bump of Jyeah, this EP is full of weapons. It’s obvious that A-Trak had a smirk on his face when he was cutting up those kicks and hats.

Coming from Denver Colorado this DJ has been mixing for 2 years. Inspired by Boy Howdy to start learning and taking off from there if you catch one of their sets at places like Refuge, Shelter, Obsidian Garden, and Breakcore Takeover - you'll most likely be hearing Deep Dub 140, Experimental, UKG, some DnB, & heavier bass.

For today's mix they brought something somewhat softer than their usual sound but still their sound nonetheless. Some of these tracks give them a nostalgic uncanniness that made them feel like they were listening to the music they enjoyed in highschool. This set features tracks like 5 on Five by A1ko which remind them of their best friend Marija and the intro track 4 Stacks by It Alone bc its good. 

Outisde of DJing they love hiking and cooking a lot and outside of Electronic Music they love dark rap and Alt. Special shoutout to little dragon who they've gotten into recently and their amazing vocalist.

Luego de lanzar Intermisión, circuito natural y euforia Checkpoint decidi hacerle mas canciones relacionadas y crear un Ep y lentamente se convirtieron en un album pero por ahora solo te muestro el Ep mas un remix de un productor que siempre me gusta colaborar y estamos en el mismo mindset en este viaje de productor de musica

Este Ep sigue con esta visual y/o linea creativa de racing con un diseño tupido tratando de expresar los multiples elementos que suelo agregar en mi musica, en estos años preferiblemente desde finales del 23 me ha estado cansando mucho esta idea de carrera en la industria e incluso tuve que pararme un momento y pensar porque hago estas canciones y poder llegar a una conclusión personal es lo que me ha llenado de energía para poder compartir esto.

After releasing Intermisión, Circuito Natural, and Euforia Checkpoint, I decided to create more related tracks and put together an EP. Slowly, it turned into an album but for now, I’m only sharing the EP along with a remix from a producer I always enjoy collaborating with. We’re on the same mindset in this journey as music producers.
This EP follows the same visual and creative line of “racing,” with a dense design that tries to express the many elements I usually bring into my music. Over these past years especially since late 2023 I’ve been getting really tired of this whole “race” idea in the industry. I even had to pause for a moment and reflect on why I make these songs. Reaching a personal conclusion has been what gave me the energy to share this project.
This EP is meant for you to enjoy whether visually through the artwork, or through how wild it sounds sonically.

Missin' Me

I made a rather unexpected EP inspired when I tried out the Peripeteia demo by 90sGraphics.

The dark atmosphere in the game was a strong inspiration for this music.

I also created an illustrative album art, where I could try drawing Marie again (and I really enjoyed it). Overall, a small EP, but I'm very glad I did it.
