✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

One day, I was maybe 9 or 10, I was really restless (even more than usual) and my father put headphones on my ears and told me to listen carefully. I heard a heartbeat growing, mechanical noises, voices far away, the echo of a call... And suddenly a bassline and a guitar riff. It was the first track of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. That's the first time I felt a strong connection to music. I stayed completely mesmerised until the end of the album. Pink Floyd taught me that music is a playground without limits and that it should be explored in all its shapes. Since then, I've been through many cycles depending on the age. From 60s/70s rock to metal, reggae to dub, blues to soul...and electronic music obviously. But jazz, hip-hop and experimental music always stuck with me all along.

I discovered downtempo when I met the Crépite crew at a party organised by common friends. It was Love at first sight, or at first listen I should say. We became good friends and since then... well I'm hooked on it hahaha! And I never missed playing faster.

✔️ What makes good "afterhour"?

You know the words of the poet Dylan Thomas : "Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
If you switch "night" and "light" then you have a good afterhour.

✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

The past few months, with my loved One, we've been travelling down the memory lane. We started to rediscover some old tunes, old tracks or bands that we felt we left aside for too long. And we really miss those vibes... So as I was playing in France, which is my land of birth, I decided to go back to the roots and mix the old school with the new one. It's a bit like bonding generations. Like a tribute to those artists from the past and the present that taught and raised me.
And it was the first event for the collective who invited me: Rêve Général. Young collective, brand new stage, first trial... So they were on a rooting phase too.

We all know this moment - you are lying in bed with a loved one and the world stands still.

You put on some music to set the scene for rising temperatures under the sheets…

The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Eigentlich heissen wir Klaus" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one-hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

Cuddle Cast #21 comes from Berlin based @nigelnagel

We discovered his sets at the beginning of this year and absolutely loved them, so we asked him if he would create a cuddle cast for us.

One wild festival summer later the time has come and it was well worth the wait, cause its a real beauty.
