In a time of uncertainty, a short trip home from Berlin to New Zealand turned into a much longer, extended stay. It became a time for reconnection with his homeland, welcoming new family members into this life, and also saying goodbye to his grandfather for the last time.

Driven by the inspiration of a world left behind, this album was written in Harry’s parent's house in Christchurch.

“Project Senegal” is led by Michael Langhammer, Philipp Gaska, Marco Di Mola and Tierno Niang, all friends of Alex Kaminski, a German producer from Leipzig who supports the project by offering a free track. You can download the track “Buran” by clicking the Download Button or at Bandcamp. You can leave a donation to “Project Senegal” or switch to the download (on the bottom right “back to Kollektiv Liebe e.V.”) All proceeds will benefit the “Project Senegal”. 

In order to spread the concept of open source, the guys from “Project Senegal” travelled at its own expense to Dakar for the period from July 21st, 2017 to August 13th, 2017. In workshops they were teaching basic knowledge about the construction of solar charge controllers to the civilian population. Open the download file to get a detailed description of the initiative. 
The idea was originated in cooperation with Open Source Ecology Germany; the project is supported financially by Kollektiv Liebe e.V.

„… und die Leute haben uns gefragt: Warum wollt Ihr so etwas in Senegal machen, einem Land, in dem 50% der Bevölkerung nicht einmal lesen und schreiben kann?  Darauf konnte ich nur antworten: Es ist uns bewusst, dass es schwierig werden wird, Dorfbewohnern mit geringer oder ohne Schulbildung eine Thematik zu vermitteln, für die eigentlich ein gewisses technisches Vorwissen vonnöten ist. Trotzdem möchten wir es versuchen und unser Wissen mit den Menschen in Senegal teilen. Am Ende sind schon allein der internationale, interkulturelle Austausch und die Knüpfung neuer Kontakte eine Bereicherung für uns alle und eine Möglichkeit, Neues voneinander zu lernen.“

Harry Charles und César B., die Dachmäuseriche, hüpfen dir auf die Schulter und bedanken sich vorträglich für den leckeren Proviant, den wir offenbar mit ihnen teilen möchten. Im Gegenzug versprechen sie uns die Lüftung eines großen Geheimnisses.
Einverstanden. Wir tischen ihnen auf: Ein Stück Apfelschale, dazu ein Tröpfchen Burgunder, ein paar Kekskrümel und eine ganze Salzstange, nebst eines getrockneten Blättchens Assam sowie den Krümel einer Aspirintablette für schlechte Zeiten. 
Sichtlich zufrieden über ihr Buffet lüften Monsieur Charles  und Señior B. nicht nur ein, sondern gleich drei Geheimnisse, von denen allerdings bloß eins wahr ist.
