The artists of Love and Nature Adventure – vol.2 set off on new adventures, this time targeting the pollution of the oceans.

Marine, lake and river ecosystems are now more endangered than ever. Plastic takes 450 years to completely decompose and has a devastating effect on marine life, plants and eventually on our health. Due to the breakdown of larger plastic debris, microplastics enter our food chain. If the annual water pollution, currently 8 million tonnes, continues to rise,  there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050, according to UN data. There are already 140 million tons in all of the earth’s bodies of water that constitute an area as big as Central Europe. 

Since such huge amounts can not be collected without a clever concept, we have decided to support the NGO "One Earth - One Ocean" with the benefit of this compilation. 
The organization is planning four different types of ships that collect plastics, oil and chemicals from the waters. In future, these garbage collection ships shall run fully automatic and collect and recycle garbage found in the sea. http://oneearth-oneocean.com

Die Künstler der „Love and Nature Adventure - Vol. 2“  brechen zu neuen Abenteuern auf und haben es sich diesmal zum Ziel gesetzt, der Verschmutzung der Weltmeere entgegenzuwirken. 

Ökosysteme in Ozeanen, Flüssen und Seen sind bedroht wie nie! Plastik, das 450 Jahre benötigt um sich vollständig aufzulösen, hat einen verheerenden Einfluss auf Meerestiere, Pflanzen und letztlich auch auf unsere Gesundheit, denn durch den Zerkleinerungsprozesses der Abfälle gelangt Mikroplastik in unsere Nahrungskette. Bleibt der jährliche Anstieg der Wasserverschmutzung - derzeit 8 Mio Tonnen -  beim aktuellen Level, wird es UNO- Angaben zufolge im Jahr 2050 mehr Plastik als Fische in den Meeren geben. Schon heute befinden sich 140 Mio Tonnen in den Gewässern der Erde und bilden eine Fläche so groß wie Mitteleuropa.

Da solche Unmengen sich nicht ohne ein ausgeklügeltes Konzept einsammeln lassen, haben wir uns entschlossen, die NGO „One Earth - One Ocean“ mit dem Gewinn dieser Compilation auszustatten.
Die Organisation filtert mit vier unterschiedlichen Schiffs-Typen Plastik, Öl und Chemikalien aus den Gewässern und beabsichtig in einigen Jahren eine vollautomatische „Maritime Müllabfuhr“ durch die Ozeane fahren zu lassen, welche die eingesammelten Abfälle noch auf dem Meer recycelt.
