We’re kicking off 2017 with the always vibrant, always spirited Martha van Straaten. 
She’s given us a special podcast to remind us all of our diversity, but also our interconnectedness as human beings on Earth. Voilá her curated selection of tracks that are universally relatable, inspired by our collective’s cosmic theme. Her set will send you on spacey inner travels, free-wheeling through your own cosmos to discover the beauty of diversity, nature and multiculturalism in an epic 1,5 hours of damn good music.
A self-described collector, her love for combining and putting things together is audible. Yes, few of us will ever have the chance to look down from space on to the face of the earth. We probably won’t ever witness the Aurora lights from above, or see thunderstorms explode from a bird’s eye view, or watch millions of lights of cities and civilizations switch on as the shadow of night chases the daylight away. 
Yet we’ve all wondered about how tiny we humans are in this infinite universe.
And infinite though it may be, our world is unified; a place without borders, with a lot of colours, animals and happiness.

Unsere „Auf zu Neuen Dächern“ Reihe wird heute glatte 20 Lenzen alt und der Kranich damit buchstäblich zum alten Hasen. Umso mehr freuen wir uns, dass unser Podcast-Jubiläum der Plattenkiste von „Elias Doré“ entspringt: Der gebürtige Berliner sammelte zahlreiche Erfahrungen in Bands diverser Genres von Afro-Funk über Klezmer bis hin zu Reggae und Soul, bevor er sich vor nicht allzu langer Zeit vollends der elektronischen Musik hingegeben hat. Mit dem Kurswechsel ist er sich dabei insofern treu geblieben, als dass seine Musik keine Spur der Wärme vermissen lässt, die er regelmäßig auf die Bühne gebracht hat: Seine Sets sind geprägt von der Liebe zu organischen Klängen und geradezu verspielten Melodien, die bereits die ein oder andere glückselige Floor-Umarmung zu verbuchen haben. Eine Direktinjektion Serotonin pur gegen die herbstliche Trübe – wir wünschen euch viel Spaß und freuen uns, „Elias Doré“ bald wieder auf dem Dach begrüßen zu dürfen.

Originally from Berlin, Elias Doré explored many facets of music by performing in various bands and genres, from Afro-Funk in Dakar, Klezmer and Gipsy in London to Reggae and Soul in Berlin, before fully immersing himself in electronic music. What has over time stayed with him is his love for melodic warmth and organic sounds.

Auweia, was is denn nun schon wieder hier los?!
Das kann doch wohl nicht wahr sein, dass schon wieder ein Monat verflogen is. Naja gut, scheinbar weht uns doch soviel um die Ohr'n, dass wir gar nicht mehr mitschneiden, wie schnell doch die Zeit auch mit langsamer Musik vergeht. 

Doch keine Sorge! Mit gesetztem Blinker und den Reglern auf vollem Anschlag, düsen wir in Nicht-Lichtgeschwindigkeit an einen wundersamen Ort in der Zukunft. Im Kassettenrekorder läuft ganz lässig nebenbei der heisseste Shit seit David Hasselhoff's "Pingu Dance". Downmäßige Abfahrt im Hause Heimlich.

Mit schnuppo hinterm Steuer fetzen wir dem Sonnenuntergang entgegen. Oder is es schon wieder Sonnenaufgang? Naja egal, jedenfalls knallt es ordentlich in den Ohren <3

His passion grows through DJ ing and music production as he finds his place at the bottom of the sea. 
The Bioluminescence of his sound creates glowing colors in which you can hear the glimmer of technoid sounds. As playfulness meets the melancholy of the deep, even the funk stays on. It is a wondrous ocean in which Kunterweiß searches for perfection of sound. A place to immerse. Whoever listens carefully, experiences their own Journey!

She always brings a smile, sharing the warmth of her heart with everyone in her surrounding. While she has travalled far and performed shows for many, what she loves most is to be united with her close ones and play a soundtrack to the ones dear to her. Over the years, Alma Linda (@alma_linda) has helped many arising artists taking their first steps, encouraging them to pursue their very own artistic path.. and through that, she encouraged herself to stay on hers. Berlin-based DJ and producer Elias Doré paints tonal stories that seek to deepen human connection and invoke the innermost parts of your imagination. Inspired by years of musicianship in various bands, he seamlessly blends Organic House, Melodic Techno, Indie Dance, Afro and Disco into his sets. With this vibrant tapestry of genres and his infectiously joyful presence, his performances regularly turn into what has been described as ecstatic meditations of loving kindness. 

His sound is warm, yet powerful, energetic and sophisticated, yet always on a clear dramaturgic path - inviting his audience to collectively dive deeper into the innately psychedelic dream of this present moment. 
In an electronic musical landscape where harder, darker, and faster are the trends, Elias refuses to conform. He embraces the deep and the harmonious and has an uncanny ability to weave surprisingly eclectic tracks into his sets. This distinct musical blend speaks universally to audiences of conscious dance events as well as to the dancefloors of Berlin’s notorious nightlife, desert gatherings in the Middle-East or warehouse raves in Sao Paulo. 

Having firmly established himself in the scene, he left his mark on countless stations of the electronic music circuit, from Fusion to Garbicz and Burning Man to Bucht der Träumer. He continues to refine his artistic vision with releases on labels such as A Tribe Called Kotori, XYZ or 3000 Grad, while also curating the catalogue of his crews’ own label, Rebellion der Träumer.
