Carlos Valdes is al meer dan 20 jaar een onmisbaar figuur in het nachtleven. Als dj en ook als promoter van het gayfeest IsBurning, waarmee hij collabs doet over de hele wereld. Een uur house van de bovenste plank met Carlos Valdes in The Beat Mix, happy pride!

The Beat is het elektronische muziek programma op NPO 3FM. Gepresenteerd door Justin Verkijk elke zaterdagavond tussen 22:00 en 01:00.

Da mein letzter Mix aus dieser Reihe sehr beliebt zu sein scheint, hab ich noch mal in meinen Archiven gewühlt. Ich wollte es wieder auf 42 Lieder begrenzen, aber dann sind's doch 46 geworden. Egal, denn es sind wieder eine Reihe Lieder (bis auf eins), die ich mit Nachtdigital verbinde und dort auch schon gehört, selbst aufgelegt oder live performt habe.

When I was a Twen R2VER (at Nachtdigital)

It’s been a while — but here’s a fresh live recording. Captured at Ploegendienst Festival (Breda, NL), Day 2 on the Kaap Stage, beautifully hosted all weekend by the highly respected VBX crew. 

Rain and wind kicked off the day, but the real ones pulled through early — true Sunday warriors. My stage was one of the few offering shelter, setting the tone for a deep and warm opening. Later, I switched gears and gave the early crowd some well-earned punchy tunes.

Ploegendienst and VBX have always meant a lot to me. Their joint energy on this one pushed me to go deeper into my own sound. Truly grateful to be part of such a powerful line-up.

Who am I: Mirsch.

Alive and kickin since 1979. First instrument (and still playing): the trumpet. From there my way led me to my first PC and Magic Musicmaker 1.0. Started DJing in 1997.

My ears wide open for all kinds of music but with an addiction to Trip-Hop, Hip-Hop, Soul, Punk, Indie, Rock, Folk, Soul, Singer/Songwriter music. However, electronic music is still in the heart and will always be. Therefore mixes will also be a mix of various styles.

Same goes for producing: various styles. As Kometenschmidt the musical outcome can be anything. But I am also 1 of the 2 members of the Noise Tales, making a Rock/Pop/Blues/Indie/Folk-Mix. I also did some release as “Kultobjekt” and longtime Alter Ego “Latex Distortion” (not dead yet) on one bit wonder net.music.
