HOJA DE RUTA w. Diamin. “hoja de ruta” is an exercise to make visible the musical languages of the serial, deep and infinite digging practice. This episode starts in 1985 in Mexico. Although the centre of gravity remained in that territory, some key collaborations between local and European labels were also included in this recording. This show as a binnacle allows to register and diagram the process of research over time. Identifying patterns, trends and interconnection between actors as well as the possibility of retrospective analysis. Understanding these relationships help to solidify and restructure our knowledge, interests and obsessions, often perceived as isolated, floating or capricious, and internalize them as part of the same aesthetic search, guiding the next steps to future affinities.
The starting point is a random input, that awakes the curiosity and necessity to know more. A song, album or artist, that derivates into infinite multiple tabs, and each one enables a path; either linear, parallel or transversal to the last previous point. The end of the journey will trace a new sound universe, a personal and unrepeatable map that simulates the possibility of a closed circuit. The end doesn't exist, but this exercise facilitates the navigation...

As the founder of @electric_shapes label, he has fostered a vibrant community of artists and music enthusiasts. Apart from his label, Aleksandr L. has also made a mark as a resident on Radio Vilnius. Hosting the monthly show "Drops & Volts," he consistently delivers a carefully curated mix of tracks that showcase his unwavering dedication to music exploration. Just as on his eclectic dj sets abd mixes, through his radio show, he shares his discoveries and introduces listeners to new sounds and artists.
