Sophie Phare is an emergent fixture of Georgian club culture. Since 2016 she’s taken inspiration from the land, everything from the Black Sea coast to Tbilisi’s dancefloor denizens, and funnelled these influences into a frequent schedule as rebel selector for queer party Horoom Nights. Like the series, Phare has activism running through her veins: her resonant and peppy mixes are the language she chooses to spread her anti-normative creed, one geared to creating a more inclusive world. And with italo, acid and perky house forming the backbone of Bassiani Podcast 132, she’ll encourage everyone to have fun in the process.
