Nico Stojan and David Keno team up once again and they delivered a deep and soulful, melodic house record that made a lot of friends during these last days of summer. 

Our hit machine Beatamines doesn't let us down this time with his great remix of "How does it feel". 

Marvin Hey and Ferdinand Dreyssig strip the original track to its basics and come up with a very functional interpretation with a great percussive vibe.

Hiroshi Watanabe has been releasing records since 1996, with styles ranging from deep house to his more recognized ambient/electronica works on Kompakt under the guise of Kaito. A stalwart for the label for the past twelve years, Hiroshi has clocked up no less than eight albums and recently released the rather brilliant ‘Less Time Until The End’.

His passion for introspective electronic music is clearly visible in his latest release and his Kaito moniker is seemingly dedicated to this emotional side. Named after his son and translating as “the one that is able to explain the universe”, Kaito’s music is warm, analogue and immersive electronica, riddled with a million stories. Hiroshi’s a big believer in communicating through his music and opens up to the many ways a track can be perceived- he’s a storyteller, a painter of the night sky and the magician behind the soundtrack which accompanies them.

Hiroshi’s isolatedmix stems from this approach and takes us on a night-flight through some of his inspirations that span the spectrum of the ambient electronic genre – a perfect introduction to the newbie or an expertly curated accompaniment for the veteran. Hiroshi will be the guide, but you’ll make your own way there…

“I started with this kind of electronic music, mainly because my father created some very imaginative ambient music when I was child (around the late 70s). I was watching how he made the music and the sound seemed so impressive. It was because of this I fell in love with electronic music.

I love how the music can portray special images within each person – no-one the same, it’s impossible. There’s no need for vocals, or lyrics or words, just sound. I can close my eyes and it’s all I need – every person connecting to the universe through tension, energy and inspiration.

This is a selection of music which reflects that feeling – something special. Of course, there are tonnes to choose from and some amazing ambient music in the world, but this is just a little selection. Please enjoy the music and use your imagination to travel your own way”

 “La Duquesa”, the most tender and most refined piece of the album Amygdala, perfectly casual and serious, deep and euphoric, all at the same time, is dedicated to the Spanish Duquesa de Alba, who, as holder of 46 titles of nobility, is even more highly decorated than Queen Elisabeth. Koze is fascinated by this lady: With her peculiarly creepy appearance she seems like a relic from the past era of the Spanish nobility. She is the most pictured woman in Spain and a pop phenomenon. When, in 2011, she married a man 24 years younger than herself, the entire country badmouthed her. Sometimes Koze would love to be that younger man, who the Spaniards dismiss as a legacy hunter!

Encore the needle is cookin'. Dj Koze did it again. His homage to Audrey Horne. "Burn with me" - a fucked up, deep and schizophrenic brainfoodbouncer with legato bass and hi hats way out of time. The beat burst like shagging, the dirty off hi-hat lashes remorseless in the twat-herd - everyone just wants to get laid straight away.

Und wieder glüht die Nadel. DJ Koze did it again. Seine Hommage an Audrey Horne. "Burn
with me“ – ein abgefuckter deeper schizoider Brainfoodbouncer mit stehenden Bässen und Hi
Hats, completely out of Timing. Der Beat bumst wie Ficken, die dreckige off Hi Hat peitscht
erbarmungslos in die Schweineherde, alle wollen einfach nur ficken.

02 Burn with me

Flipping the record over, we hear Robag shift Vondelpark's pop tune further into dubbed-out DJ tool territory with “Habay Latoff NB”, placing it atop a hand-cranked mechanical pulse that's more tech than house. The vocals are reduced to a mere atmospheric aspect, letting Robag's buzzing and clattering do the talking, as the underlying drawn-out melodic phrases breeze past, with plenty of auditory curveballs to make your ears smile. Grab the vinyl version now—R&S won't be offering these remixes digitally until later in the year.

A1 “Gscheids Planet” unfolds with a deceptive intro, click-clackety downtempo stomps and 
crunchy snares beneath a tender vocoder coo, just when some muted guitar plucks crescendo 
into a burst of robo-synths. Although three minutes have passed, only now does the song 
reveal its true nature, a summery tune with rich synths that billow in the wind.
