From collaborating with The Weeknd on his new album to their latest breakthrough hit “The Mirage” on Afterlife and the debut of their “Universo” A/V Live set, the Italian duo Agents Of Time are already proving to be unstoppable in 2022.

Following the March release of “Blu”, its becoming clear that something is brewing in the house of Kompakt as Agents Of Time now share “Interstellar Cowboy”. This track will be relished by fans as it’s been a huge highlight in their DJ sets for some time now. The duo further their passion for bringing pop inspired vocals to beat of the main stage. “Interstellar Cowboy” is throbbing Italo-techno bliss.

Longtime Kompakt family member Gui Boratto is currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of his landmark album “Chromophobia” and seems to be feeling retrospective in his remix of “Interstellar Cowboy”. Gui’s uncanny ability to bridge minimalism and lush electronics is fully brought to life.

Argy drops the first of 3 ‘Interior Journey’ remix packs…

What more can be said about Argy’s ‘Interior Journey’ album? The critically acclaimed LP marked his first release in 2 years and confirmed his status as one of the world’s most exciting electronic producers with its diverse sweep, which included the chart-topping, dancefloor-destroyer, ’Ketuvim’.

Now he returns to present the first of 3 very special ‘Interior Journey Remix’ EPs, where he’s invited highly respected artists to take on various tracks, “I had real fun reaching out to producers, both friends and colleagues,” he explains, “the response was incredible; everyone we asked more or less got onboard so the upshot is a portfolio of reinterpretations with real depth and quality. Part 1 is very fitting because it lays down a real statement of what’s to come…”.

We may be biased, but he really isn’t wrong.

First-up is the Italian king of all things indie - Whitesquare, who takes ‘High Priest’, Argy’s collaboration with And.ID and turns it into a perfect summer house anthem. If ever there was a record designed to lift spirits and celebrate the re-opening of our global dance floors, this is undoubtedly it.

Then things take a deeper, but no less dramatic turn with the most excellent Aera, who twists ‘The Third Degree’ into an infectious techno monster. Already the preserve of Solomun’s recent DJ sets, it’s a track that’ll find a favour with a wide spectrum of DJs and dance aficionados as Argy confirms, “both these remixes will hopefully bring joy to dancefloors around the world and I couldn’t be happier with them!”

„Dance“ by @haze-m feat. @emna-jaziri-306196283 transports you back ten years, when a thick and sinister sub-bass and soulful vocals ruled the dance floors.

@djfotn & Marsden bring us „Commodore“, an 80s influenced cinematic journey into your heroic arcade dreams.

And closing off the FTTF22 is @aldebaranofficialmusic with „A New Mistake“, a hypnotic acid groove to that allows you to just let go.

Release Info: 
Legendary German duo Frankey & Sandrino will be inaugurating Crosstown Rebels’ 2022 release schedule in January. The two-track Optical will act as the label’s first release of the year, signalling a major occasion for the pairing.

Both artists spoke on what the release embodies, stating: “Optical is an expression of our darker sides and desire to go deeper into people’s consciousness. Without the kick you’re left with an abstract, morphing soundscape. A sense of melancholy and discomfort, but also a sense of hope. It’s those emotions, the dark and the light, that we always try to find in our music.”

The title track opens proceedings, taking the form of a hypnotic dance cut packed full of atmospheric pads and haunting vocal tones. Gentle hats marry up with whirring synth lines, whilst a subtle bassline chugs along beside. Gridd takes on a softer edge, rounding off the release in a haze of starry-eyed warmth. Ambient notes reside next to instrumental sounds throughout, as we’re drawn into an ethereal, dream-like world.

Frankey & Sandrino, based in Essen and Berlin respectively, have been making music together for just over a decade. In that time, their rich, detailed style has graced the upper-echelons of house and techno’s worthiest institutions, garnering a legacy of releases on labels such as Innervisions, Mule Musiq, Kompakt and Diynamic. The impact of tracks such as Acamar, Mercury or Chimes has paved the way for the unstoppable rise of Frankey & Sandrino, marking the pair as a standout act within the global electronic music scene.

Tel Aviv born, Berlin based producer Tal Fussman serves up Diynamic’s first EP of 2022, titled „The Unknown“.

Kicking off the record with heat is „Burning Bridges“, a melancholic dance floor workout that makes for closed eyes and hands slowly waving through the air.

Title track „The Unknown“ is the reconstruction of fragmented noises reminiscent of old floppy drives and dial-ins, re-arranged into an almost industrial garment that still spells h-o-u-s-e.

„Brio“ by Tal Fussman & Luke Garcia is an electronic Storming of the Bastille, with percussive pendants to sounding sirens, rifle shots, cannons and the correspondent „en garde“ battle cry.

And finally comes „Saga“, the dreamy theme for the end of an eventful night. Look back one last time and know those memories will stay with you forever.

In the summer of 2022 Niels Docter aka. Doctr, will release a full length album on the Copenhagen based label "Music For Dreams".  
Part of the album will be "Kisses In The Dark", which is his collab single with vocalist PYN.
The song will be (spoiler alert) the only vocal track on the album, so for its single release Niels wanted to do something special.
Therefore he asked Tjade to remix the original and luckily for Niels, Tjade jumped right on it. 

After highly successful edits like Koi Jaye, Maadna Bkra & Sahrany and remixes for Biesmans, Rees & Count van Delicious, Tjade now takes a stab at reworking Doctr’s new single “Kisses In The Dark”. Where the original is a more downtempo Italo and Electropop infused vocal roller, Tjade takes a different approach by sampling the vocal hook and putting it together with Trance and Eurodance instrumentals. Higher BPM’s and an uplifting energy guarantee a proper dance floor killer.
