The first in a series of remixes for Michael Mayer’s latest album The Floor Is Lava comes from one of our favourite artists here at Kompakt HQ: PRIORI. Everything this Montreal-based artist has touched has turned to gold. His reworking of Mayer’s The Solution is certainly no exception. Rightly so, Priori has just been honoured with a Juno Award, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. Congratulations, Francis!

While some guys will tell you now it’s all computers, at Turbo we know in our hearts that everything in life can be understood as a funhouse mirror. Sascha Funke’s massive 2017 hit “MZ” is one of the most iconic house records ever released on our label, and thus deserving of the ultimate honour: a remix pack reflecting each of the manifold facets of a modern dancefloor classic from the most prestigious and respected angles imaginable.

As studious Turbo watchers have no doubt clocked*, we have paid access to the halls of European power, where you get to make backroom deals with Emmanuel Macron and British Seinfeld as Opus’ “Live is Life” blares over a gigantic bluetooth speaker. And, yeah, you’ll probably run into the most celebrated European producers of our time. Pional, Axel Boman, Mano Le Tough, and Roman Flügel — these are the kinds of names you only see once you’ve reached the highest levels of success, be it in dance music production or purchasing the hottest tickets in town on your favorite mobile device. We called each on these titans to anoint “MZ” into the modern pantheon of club anthems, and you can bet your last eurobond that they delivered. But we also wanted some new blood, so we turned to rising Lithuanian superstar DJ JM. JM is now a deep part of the Turbo family, and he’s made the theoretical space between bad-boy cousin and beloved nephew fully his own with what we hope Rolling Stone Magazine will call “a distinctively modern edge."

Renowned for her genre-blending approach and sharp production skills, Brazilian-Austrian artist Joyce Muniz returns to Kompakt with her powerful new single, “Hack The System.” This track marks a bold artistic statement that goes beyond the dancefloor, merging infectious electronic rhythms with a deeper socio-political message.

Featuring vocals by Futuradora, “Hack The System” is a call to awareness—an urgent and rhythmic critique of structural inequalities and digital surveillance culture. With pulsing basslines and hypnotic synth work, Muniz crafts a track that is as politically charged as it is club-ready.

This is Muniz’s second release on Kompakt, following the critically acclaimed “Beats & Lines” with Sara Bluma. Where that track explored personal connection, “Hack The System” speaks to a collective resistance and the need for systemic change, aligning with Muniz’s roots in underground culture and activism.

When the demo of ‘Scorpio Rising’ landed in our office, we knew immediately: this has to be released in the summer! A hook is a hook is a hook. And what Lannakise sang into the mic for LOPEZHOUSE is definitely a big hook with barbs that sticks in your head. A pristine pop house masterpiece from the La Mancha native. The remix by Scottish techno legend Funk D’Void brings a deeper perspective to the mix which recalls Kompakt’s golden era sound of the 00’s and unfolds its full beauty in the early hours of the morning.

We're delighted to welcome back Amount, aka Nayan Soukie, to Darkroom Dubs as he returns with four subterranean throbbers that effervesce with trance-inducing lawlessness. 

A Darkroom Dubs favourite who first debuted in 2013 as one-half of house-combo Soukie & Windish. Since then, he's flourished as a renowned producer, DJ, and seasoned live performer, developing a penchant for sleazy burners primed for the darkest of rooms and those hazy, sunrise-lit, after-hours moments. 

This latest offering from the Berlin native, entitled Zeroton, is an essential addition to an already impressive back catalogue, with appearances on imprints such as Feines Tier, Running Back, Frank Music and his own URSL label.
