organic house sounds on his Akati EP.
Rami Imam has risen up through the ranks from local star to
international talent over the last few years. With every release,
he serves up a melodic odyssey with soothing tones, deep
grooves and powerful sound design. He has released through
the likes of Bibliotheque, Street Tracks and Upon Access and
now brings more dynamic sounds and ethereal moods on his
connected debut.
The sublime 'Akati' soon enchants with its organic house
grooves and wooden percussive hits. Choral vocals light up
the airwaves with real soul as the majestic synths bring
poignancy to this deep roller. On 'Dune Kids', the beats are
broken up and take you on a ride through space next to lush
chords laden with melancholy. More delicate piano keys and
whispered vocals are underpinned with a soft, subtle acid line
to make for a tune that builds to a peak full of rejoice. Stylish
closer 'Kora' provides more soft but moving drums and
melodies, wispy synth motifs and serene vocals. It's packed
with the sort of emotion that will make it stand out in any
setting.

Undo's Factor City imprint celebrates 20 years on the dance floor with a compilation featuring 20 of the best songs from it’s catalogue. Twenty selected weapons from one of Spain's most-loved labels.
in the fall of 2003 Gabriel (Undo) and Victor (Vicknoise) pressed up some of his own music on a low-profile label inspired by some of the many small d.i.y labels that were on the forefront of the developments of electronic dance music. During these years the label has become a refuge as much as an open door vehicle driven by a saving Do It Yourself ethic and an unquenchable thirst for discovery. A low-key approach based, one based around friends and community, remains at the heart of Undo’s work with Factor City.
In Undo’s words “Its been an amazing ride, all an adventure. We came across all music industrie plagues but we survived, and now we're here. In a year which will have 2 special anniversary compilations and a few hot new releases”
The music as always is hard to define or label. From beautiful modular synth soundscapes, to sharp driven-synth melodies. From delicate and vaporouse electro to euphoric electronic rides. From darkness to sonic bliss. A lot of acid and a little bit of slow trance. From krautrock to techno and back. From 100 to 140 bpms. Nostalgic and futuristic. Emotive and mental. We’re still harvesting the fruits of those past days in seclusion, the cabin fever induced creative outbursts, ideas that would probably have never surfaced without these enforced trips to our inner minds. Lockdown transcendence.

“Don’t Cry” by Italo-Brazilian DJ producer Stephan Barnem and Futuristant is another impressive testament of those days. Secluded in Stephan’s studio in Northern Italy, the duo subconsciously conjured the spirits of one of their mutual favorite bands, Depeche Mode and created a fierce, boombappy Neo New Wave smasher contrived to send rays of hope into the darkest corners of this mad world. We had to add a gratuitous beatless version to the EP that amplifies the cinematic depth and healing potency of this song.

If “Don’t Cry” echoes the dark brooding euphoria of Depeche Mode’s “Music For The Masses” era, the flipside cut “Elysium” harks back to the synthwave happy days of their debut “Speak & Spell”. It’s a wonderfully careless track that’s bringing a dearly needed breeze of fresh air to today’s discerning dancefloors.

Boys don’t cry for me Argentina. Save your tears for another day.

The EP FACE II is a continuation of the Faces EP series, of which the first EP was released in october 2022. The basis here is also a literary fixpoint with KAFKAS VERWANDLUNG. the examination of the urban modern man has its origin in the album JAHRE and is now explored in more detail here. What happens to us in a time of digital transparency as a glass human of the city and night. It starts with THE VOID, which was originally intended as a poem about being lost. We go out into the night, some to search, some to forget and some to never come back as the same again. On our journey we often take substances that we expect to make this journey easier and faster. the escape from ourselves and from our relationships to the environment and humans can‘t just be skipped. a fast way is always a dangerous way and often leads to an even bigger EMPTINESS.
In THE GHOST something appears to us late at night, it is like a shadow of the previous hours, something that has followed us on the streets and accompanied us undiscovered until we reached our home. We wake up and at first it is unclear whether we are dreaming. In half-sleep the dimensions blur together and the whole polyvalence of the different existences gapes open. We blink into the DARKNESS and try to recognize something, the light remains far away and yet we hear this piercing sound, which in the end leaves us only with ourselves. we are the spirit of the night, trapped on an old tape in the chest of nothing.
The next section THE MOON shows us the light in the darkness. The shadows and ghosts give way for a moment and the light flows through our veins and molecules.
The poem describes our unspoken longing to follow the light, in the light our fears disappear and everything blurs into an unknown familiarity. We stagger back and forget the encounters with our inner DAWN. In the light the ghosts disappear like childhood memories left behind.
The last chapter is written by THE DAWN, a stanza from the poem of the same name as a spoken reconciliation with the world. In spite of everything, we seek harmony and connectedness. No one wants to become an exile, even if we can‘t always bring it about ourselves. We love LIFE and we hear and feel everything around us, if we let ourselves ...

From Barcelona, Fernanda Arrau is back, presenting her latest EP 'Sexy Dance.' The talented Chilean DJ and producer made her debut on the label with "Calypso" in 'Muy Divas Vol 1', and now she immerses us in a world of shimmering sounds and hypnotic rhythms. The EP, consisting of three cuts—two of them original versions and a masterful edit by Bawrut.

The EP kicks off with "Sexy Dance," a track that's fresh, fun, and simultaneously seductive. With a playful bassline, echoing vocals, an enjoyable cowbell, and a solid drumbeat, this 6-and-a-half-minute song leads listeners into a state of hypnotic dancing.

Moving on, we encounter "Simple," a track that dazzles with its depth and sparkle. The combination of the drums and the enveloping bass keeps your feet grounded, while the pure pads guide listeners on a delicate and enchanting journey.
