DAUWD returns to Kompakt with his
third release for the label in just under a
year. Those who know these found him
fitting well in with the current groove of
melodic Techno but here we find him
making a detour and branching out in a
direction that is most certainly to appeal
to the purist House heads.

fundamentally brings out the best of
Dauwd’s trademark canorousness as he
picks his way through the finest moments
of early 80’s disco reminiscing what Metro
Area accomplished in their brightest
moments. The title RITTER SPORT must
be some celebratory namesake for his
recent move to Berlin but what you get is a
walloping fist to the floor house track. You
can’t deny the Herbert-esque swing that
pulses throughout this jam. TAKE FOUR is
that sunrise serenade a dancefloor begs for
to beckon in a new day. Another essential
release from one of today’s most promising
and buzzed about artists!

This track was originally considered by several labels — each of them saw potential in it and wanted to sign the release.
But every label asked to change a small detail to adjust the sound to their catalogue.
I chose to keep the track exactly as it was born — authentic, genre-blended, and true to its own identity.

Giga is the evolution of my sound:
a blend of minimal, deep, and micro aesthetics combined with my own rhythmic approach and live-style transitions.
The track went through a single studio render with no conversion, which keeps the sound clean, dynamic, and fully detailed.

DJ-Mixes often do little more but keeping up a certain mood. To establish a mood like this, masterful Sven Väth only needs a couple of moments. But this is it not enough for the inimitable DJ from Frankfurt am Main. Väth wants to introduce us to an entire world of electronic sounds. The music is an end to itself, yet at the same time, it is more: Väth employs it to express his passion for the whole scene, to tell about the adventures he has experienced traveling, about his love for his friends, his children, his girlfriend and particularly to his fans all around the world.
 
Väth's 18th season on Ibiza was one of the most beautiful in years. With Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin, the most amazing artists techno and house have to offer appeared each for a couple of nights. The lucky ones who already partied with Cocoon know that the bedsprings have to wait for long hours as the afterparties are legendary. This year, things went totally overboard at this seaons´s closing party at KM5. So you might already feel a yearning for season 19. Until that happens, you might meet Sven at one of the fascinating places he will turn into mad houses during winter and spring

“We have always been very fortunate to meet and know many talented producers. In recent years, we have been exploring those relationships with different remixes and collaborations, and every time something exciting came out. That’s why we started our Synchronicity project. To challenge ourselves making inspiring, fun and beautiful music.

‘Synchronicity’ means "the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.

KOMPAKT welcomes back three dear friends – Copenhagen’s WhoMadeWho. Tomas Barfod’s penchant for electronic music poetically juxtaposed with Tomas Høffding and Jeppe Kjellberg’s respective backgrounds in rock and jazz, gives their music an electrifying combination of sounds, merging a variety of influences to produce a unique sonic fingerprint that is emotive, irresistible and immensely satisfying.

Though we both have yet to strike a note together since the release of their 2012 full length “Brighter” (KOM 254), WhoMadeWho have been remarkably productive. With two full lengths, a DJ mix for Watergate’s series and releasing two of 2019’s most played out club tracks together with Rampa (Innervisions) and Artbat (Watergate Records), the trio have found themselves diving more and more into the world of electronic music, tapping into their goldmine of connections within the scene to spearhead an array of collaborations.

The result is Synchronicity – a series of 3 EP’s then a full length album to be released throughout 2020 on KOMPAKT.

We start things off with a collaboration with Ireland’s finest dance music export, Mano Le Tough. “Oblivion” is a dream matrimony which is blissfully charged by an emotional beat and swaying vocals. Barcelona’s Marc Piñol has been an extended part of the Kompakt family thanks to his connections to the Nitsa family and our adoration for his DJing and releases on labels such as Hivern Discs and Black Money. Laid back and severely sexy, “Sooner” sways the soul with its disco flared passion. Another artist we cannot get enough of is Berlin’s Perel – she brings her singular vision of Neue Deutsche Welle to a classic WhoMadeWho beat on “Der Abend Birgt Keine Ruh”. It’s a duet like none other. Last but not least, Frank Wiedemann is famed for his work as half of Âme and also as a member of The Howling. Thanks to a pre-lockdown recording session in Berlin, they all came up with two singles – the first we can share is “Peter Pan Me" where they take pull and restraint approach that lets Tomas and Jeppe’s vocals cry with a forcefulness and passion which is set to remain in your head forever after.
