Opening with a driving bassline and soft, hazy acoustics, ‘Leave The Light On’ displays Sailor & I’s flair for building multi-layered soundscapes through the use of delicate instrumentation and intricate rhythmic patterns. His distinctive voice, itself a standout feature of all his work to date, lends heart to the track too, relaying a sense of emotional immediacy sometimes lost in translation on records that look to strike a chord within both live and electronic settings. That said, his glossy, synth-rich sound design on euphoric B-side ‘A Tiger In My Hands’ is equally as impressive, itself a track defined by it's shiny, bubbling melodies and complex percussive textures. Thoughtful and insular in the best possible sense, ‘Leave The Light On’ thus feels like a fitting introduction to the beautiful, melancholy world of Sailor & I.

White Material crew’s Galcher Lustwerk and Alvin Aronson return under the guise of Studio OST with a 4-track EP of live jams on Lustwerk Music. While the pair’s critically acclaimed 2016 debut ‘Scenes (2012-2015)’ leaned towards home listening, ’EVENTIDE / ASCENSION’ shifts the focus back to the dancefloor with two chugging cinematic house tracks. ‘Eventide’ is an evolving nebula of fluttering pads and lush percussion, while ‘Ascension’’s hot-electric drums are complimented by sharp synth chords that unfurl into controlled chaos. A beatless version of ‘Eventide’ and a drums only version of ‘Ascension’ sweeten the deal.

Alban Endlos made a brilliant debut on heiter bis wolkig last year. His "Umda EP" left quite an impression – thanks to a unique blend of quirky electronics and and warm acoustic sounds. Beautiful reinterpretations by house artists Powel and Dolph and a well-received music video by Davi.in closed the deal and made the first release on heiter bis wolkig a sweet success.

The original recording was mixed by Will Crocker, who also provided mixes for Randy Crawford, Scherrie Payne, The Flirtations, Jayne Edwards, Madleen Kane and others, as well as being an active editor for Disconet. I've extended the intro and created an outro that starts breaking down just where the fade would have begun this way you miss not a note of the whole piece when mixing in or out. It’s been two years since the release of “Eyes” - the debut single from Borneland featuring Line Gøttsche. Friday the 24th of February 2017 the brothers are back, and Music For Dreams are proud to release two sublime remixes of the beautiful track.
Eyes was the follow up of “Bug A Boo (Borneland Remix)” - a reworking of Destiny’s Child all-time classic ‘Bug A Boo’ featured on MTV and Billboard. The original track combines classic keyboard sounds individually championed by the brothers including Rhodes piano, Prophet 08 synth and characteristic SH-101 sub bass, with acoustic violin by Andreas Birk and soulful vocals by Line Gøttsche. This is a track that not only communicates the simplicity of life and the perdition of love for another person, it's fragile vocal and compelling beauty just sticks in your head. To create the full experience of on this sublimely beautiful track, we’ve included the original too – you do not want to miss out on it!

When talking about the roots of House music it’s impossible to ignore the importance of US cities like Detroit, New York and Chicago, but these are not the only US cities to have spawned pioneering producers and DJs linked to the genre. Baltimore was the home of the Basement Boys who released a number of seminal records in the early days of House music. Chris Clayton was a valued member of the Basement Boys who since leaving the group has continued to carve out a career under his solo alias of Karizma and KaytroniK. Not only as a member of Pete Tong’s hallowed Radio 1 Hall Of Fame, he’s also a popular Boiler Room guest who regularly flies the globe as a headline DJ. Also a producer with a varied sound that reflects his eclectic range of influences, Karizma’s music has appeared on many of the world best labels ranging from Hyperdub to Defected.
