Unsichtbar & Überall 

Was ist quasi überall vorhanden und bleibt für uns trotzdem unsichtbar?

Für viele Bürger der heutigen Industriestaaten ist das Internet, mit all seinen Vorzügen, sowie Schattenseiten zu einer Selbstverständlichkeit geworden. Durch die exorbitante Verbreitung von mobilem Datenvolumen und handlichen Smartphones kann jederzeit, an fast jedem Ort im www gesurft werden. Doch auch unabhängig von dieser Entwicklung, gehört ein W-LAN Router mittlerweile zur Grundausstattung in einem Haushalt. Das Internet hat sukzessive Einzug in alle Bereiche des Lebens gehalten und das in relativ kurzer Zeit. Einer der Hauptgründe dafür ist die Praktikabilität. Besonders in den Krisenjahren wurde uns allen verdeutlicht, wie praktisch das Internet doch ist. Zum einen ersetzt es die physische Mobilität. Durch diverse Tools und Anwendungen kann in einigen Berufen bequem von Zuhause aus gearbeitet werden. Die einzige notwendige Bedingung ist ein Internetanschluss und entsprechendes Endgerät. Doch auch das sozial Leben hat durch das omnipräsente Netz einen radikalen Wandel erfahren. Das Schreiben von Briefen, klassische Telefonate oder auch das physische Beisammensein für gemeinsame Aktivitäten, wurden mehr als weniger obsolet. Heutzutage kann man quasi alle Bereiche der Kommunikation mit nur einer App abdecken und darüber hinaus mit Freunden und Bekannten über Distanzen von tausenden Kilometern in Echtzeit kommunizieren. Diese technischen Errungenschaften haben bei all ihren immanenten Vorzügen auch eine negative Seite. Besonders in der zwischenmenschlichen Kommunikation geht durch Textnachrichten vieles verloren. Das führt zu einem zu Missverständnissen und darüber hinaus verbleibt das getippte Gespräch häufig auf einem recht oberflächlichen Niveau. Tiefe entsteht meist nur beim Kontakt von Angesicht zu Angesicht. Diesen Umstand kann auch das Internet nur bis zu einem gewissen Punkt substituieren. Ähnlich verhält es sich mit dem Homeoffice oder der Online-Lehre. Tendenziell ist die Motivation zuhause geringer als an einem festen, externen Arbeitsplatz. Die Versuchung der Ablenkung ist daheim sehr viel stärker, als bspw. in einem Büro. Auch die fehlenden Kollegen, Mitschüler oder auch andere Studierende machen sich deutlich und spürbar bemerkbar. Gegenseitiges befeuern, voneinander lernen oder auch wetteifern werden durch die räumliche Trennung deutlich reduziert. Das unsichtbare Netz bringt viel gutes mit sich, aber es lässt die Menschen sich auch entfremden. Fallen Dir noch weitere Beispiele ein, in denen das Internet still und heimlich einen oder mehrere Lebensbereiche reformiert hat?

Heute haben wir einen Musikproduzenten und waschechten Liveact auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Genau gesagt macht uns der Künstler und Musikliebhaber Konchord heute seine Aufwartung. Über 121 Minuten lang präsentiert er uns warme Klänge und säuselnd-berauschende Sounds. Tiefgründige Melodien harmonischer Synths treffen auf trabende Basslines und rhythmische Percussions. Ab und an gesellen sich Vocals in das elektronische Ensemble mit ein und gemeinsam zelebriert die Gesamtheit der Instrumente die Schönheit und Vielfalt der Musik.

While it looks like the Pandemic is slowly coming to an end, we are still digging some pearls from our memory box. This time it is a recording from @konchord during our 5 years of love party in April 2018 in Maastricht. It was a beautiful event in a historical venue called " Onder de brug" in Maastricht and we still have a big smile on our face when we think back of that day. We hope the set does the same for you.

What's the cheesiest movie moment or line you can think of?
Leonoardo DiCaprio holding Kate Winslet in Titanic, making her "fly" on top of the ship's bow. With the melody of "My Heart Will Go On" in the background. Purest cheese I've seen.

What’s your worst bug-related story?
I'm pretty fine with bugs as animals, but as a software developer I've dealt with some nasty ones, which usually lead to great satisfaction when finally finding and solving it.

1) What is your favorite book to read?,
I love Audre Lorde’s essays. I always come back to essays by her, and other inspiring writers whenever I feel lost or disheartened about the world.

2) If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? I would like to have the power of bewilderment at life and at the universe, to have the mindset of a child more often. I feel like children are such incredible humans, we should learn from their superpowers more often.
3) What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)? I think I was at Fusion 2016. I took so much LSD that I stayed awake for about 36 hours. I was so trippy, I was scared of my own sleep so I stayed up for as long as the trip lasted.

I've recently read the book "The Enneagram" by Richard Rohr & Andreas Ebert. The Enneagram is a model of the human psyche, a framework to understand the many facets of human personalities. It has really helped me to have a more compassionate view on myself, seeing more clearly my strengths as well as my pitfalls that come naturally with my personality type. If you're curious I can highly recommend going down that rabbit hole. I am a Type 3 by the way.

2) If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
My power would be to infect humans with so much love and confidence that they feel in pure alignment with themselves. One could also say, in concord 😉. With that power, we would all be connected to our true inner strength and co-create a utopian world with the unique gifts that have been given to each and everyone of us.

3) How long have you been awake (and why)?
Tricky question. It reminds me of that time back in 2016 when I spent 2 weeks in a buddhist monastery called "Deer Park Monastery" in southern California, in the tradition of the peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. There, I had an experience that might be called a "Trauma release" in classical psychological terms. In spiritual terms I would call it an awakening moment for me personally. So from that perspective, it feels like I am in the process of waking up since about eight years. The more pragmatic answer would be: Four hours right now.

Konchord - Lesley

This set... well, it's Karma. Although I’ve been much more into producing music than DJing, I’ve put together this 68 minute mix of musical pieces that have been influencing me over the last years. Things come and go and so do tracks that you love at a particular time and then taste changes. Still, everything I listen to is an influence and eventually comes back, either in the form of a set or a new production. Let’s call it musical Karma. For example the last track, SCNTST’s Rework of Codex was one of the first electronic tracks I listened to.
And talking about new productions… There’s something new on the way, which I am very excited to give out soon!

The Minds Great - Erosion (Konchord Remix)

It's a two hour journey inspired by some tracks I played this year at Burning Man, which is also where I ran into Jesse in the middle of a dust storm. Étude No. 07 w/ Farn

It's been a long time waiting for the week that is ahead. Also a lot of fun work, and this is exactly how it should be. In great anticipation of the Kiez Burn festival that will be happening from the 20th-24th of June, I put together a selection of music to get you in the mood for some desert vibes. Together with amazing people I'm working on bringing the Zerzura oasis to Kiez Burn, a soundcamp that will create a space for groove-hungry nomads to shake their booties. With his inspirational "Études" series, that showcases a new track every week and his constant support of the Berlin Burner scene, our good ol' friend Konchord is slowly making himself a name in the scene.

A caring, patient and loving human being, who takes the time to examine diverse topics, while trying to find a solution with and mostly for you. As a producer he is no different - creating & placing carefully arranged parts, to build a slower, hypnotic vibe, that sucks you in for a more meditative experience. His rework for Love Over Entropy & Ripperton's "Saints De Glace" touched us in many ways, most of all, because it takes time to develop into a gentle piece of art, that can be enjoyed in any circumstance. We hope you enjoy this little free release from our good friend.

Love Over Entropy ft. Ripperton - Saints de Glace (Konchord Rework)

Oh, such wonderful times. 

Spending a Friday night with my dear friends, new and old ones, hanging out in Hütte at Ritter Butzke, in a very laid-back environment, which felt like the extension of our living room. While the Into The Desert party was running on full-steam, we were enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of this space to connect, bond, and groove. After my good friend https://soundcloud.com/farn-berlin opened the floor, I took over with a 2h DJ set and finally closed the stage with this live set. With big gratitude for everything that happened that night, I hope this set allows you to look deeply within yourself.

Much <3 to the Into The Desert crew for the opportunity to take over Hütte, and thus enabling this magnificent night!

Étude No. 36 is a remake of a piece I made around one year ago, which has been used as the last track for my ambient live set (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1WDycZ1vmk). The vocals are by Eckhart Tolle - a spiritual teacher and the author of “The Power of Now”, one of the most influential books for me personally. Wow, Borderland, this was incredible. Thank you to everyone for co-creating this wonderful event, and a special thanks to @mrkuusk and @tomyjama for their invitation to the @muumimaa wonderland. It was such a beautiful last night that started with this set, the night of the burn. I will keep this memory close to my heart. Hope you enjoy this 2-hour journey that is going all kinds of weird places, from ambient to techno, full of different colors and energies, just like Borderland itself.

Timo has turned into a core member of the NWS family. As we have already stated in his debut release, we truly think Timo has an incredible sound and is highly overlooked as a unique talent, capable of delivering unique sounds in various directions.
"Circle of Life" is his third Nie Wieder Schlafen Release and this time he explores a slower and emotional sound, ranging from uplifting to melancholic, but keeps up a sophisticated atmosphere through all three originals. Remixes with a more clear cut 4-to-the-floor character were delivered by Fulltone, Andrew Case and label owner trustless and his good friend and family member Konchord.

We hope you enjoy this track as much as we do.
