I spent some time in Sydney again after traveling south from Glow Fest. I was hungry for more DJing after open decks at Cabin Fever and closing the night for the Soul Shack takeover @ Kalyx, so I booked it to Maroubra and dropped in with some Deep House that I've been vibing a lot lately. This recording rounded out a nourishing long weekend. I've been challenged by a couple of physiological and emotional trials this last little while, and the few days in Sydney spent diving deep into special music with exceptional humans really soothed my soul.

My loves - A little late but better than never! 
Here is my Set Recording of last Waldfrieden's Episode of Hai in den Mai 2023! Played my set at Backyardfloor on a massive Void Soundsystem, which was creme de la creme for the braincells and ears hehe! Had so much fun playing a transition between night and day after legendary Val Vashar's banger set. Thanks to everyone who danced with me into the sunrise and for all your support! <3

Life has been busy this last little window of time. I continue striving to strike a balance between work and play, and am grateful for the lessons and growth that come from the journey, and for the incredible amount of love and support I receive from all of my beautiful connections. 

I'm feeling especially excited for a couple of special upcoming gigs, not least of all Dragon Dreaming, one of my all time favourite gatherings, stacked this year with so much talent including so many of my favourite beings. 

I unwittingly overwrote my USB recently, losing not just a couple of recordings from recent sets but also the tracklist history. This has left me reluctant to upload recreations of those sets. This weekend I've decided instead to record another mix for my KONECAST series, the first in a year.

This KONECAST recording is reminiscent of the vibe from the first half of my set at LEVITATE (minus the dollop of groovy tech house and 140+bpm techno at the end, which will likely be featured in upcoming KONELIVE and KONECAST sets).

POLOS's name derives from the Greek word ‘Apostolos’, meaning messenger. His musical oeuvre transcends genres, skillfully fusing the resonant basslines of dubstep and drum and bass with the rhythmic cadences of reggae, hip hop, jazz, blues, and middle Eastern and Latin influences. 

Hailing from Eora (Sydney AU) POLOS's music is deeply psychedelic, inviting listeners on a journey through his mind, into jungles, deserts, cities, and distant worlds, showcasing the full spectrum of the human experience, from our most primal urges to the drive for self-actualisation. 

He's played events such as Art Valley's Kibbutz, Origins of Entropy Fundraiser, Cabin Fever Halloween 2022, Sickest House Arts Festival (Halloween 2023), Astral Carnivalé, Blue Kalyx Presents: Royalston, Glowfest 2023, Smokin' Soul, Bass Coven, Esoteric Festival and various Soul Shack gatherings. Additionally, he showcased his talent with a guest mix on Mindproofing YT Channel.

KONECAST016 - Tech House DJ Set feat. DaBo | Angel Heredia | Kamino | DULEP

Started this year setting an intention to put more time and energy into exploring creatively, and give DJing a proper crack and so super stoked to have had Esoteric Festival as a playground for those explorations!

Was invited to play some tunes at an awesome up and coming theme camp, the Magic Mothership. Performed this set on a dusty Sunday Arvo, hoping to offer some laidback daytime techno as a soundtrack for the Mothership's cosmic travellers to dust off their bones after Saturday night's adventures in the Esoverse and wind back into the day. Grateful for a supportive and caring crew, and for the folks who stopped by for a mid arvo boogie. 

I've loved diving deep on music and understanding energetic flow, and definitely still learning n growing -- but am excited for the process and keen to put my energy into this journey.

I've been pouring my heart and soul into this mix for the last couple of months, and getting a chance to share it with the amazing people at Rave Cave on the weekend was absolutely unreal!

It was such an honour and a privilege to get to share the stage with such incredible humans - Mobiius, Pretence, Esial, and Alicia Mayhem - y'all all killed it, and I'm feeling immensely grateful that this is my life 🙏

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support me for my second ever set, and who supported me in the lead up - y'all are amazing 🥰

Konedawg is a Sydney based Producer/DJ with a penchant for tight and groovy tunes and flowing live sets of a variety of styles.

He curates the KONECAST and KONELIVE Podcast series, running the gamut of electronic music genres, and his DJ sets have been featured on prestigious labels including Digital Diamonds (Germany) and Subtrail (India).
