Love the acid work once it comes in, but for me it takes a little bit too long to get there.

From the debut album by Tandava.  Based on a Bengali folk song, it is about a man struggling with his commitment to faith. We hoped to create a sense of being in a large temple.

Audrey's Lonely

Konketsu is the solo project of Rich Hamakawa, and marks the cumulation of this mercurial producer's 15 year love affair with electronic music performance. Inspired by the sparse arrangements and heady sounds coming out of Detroit and Berlin in the 90's and fascinated with complex counter-rhythms and clicks more commonly found in IDM sensibilities, Rich draws on his substantial experience as a gigging livePA artist (Mad Knob Technicians, Frazzletones, Max Power and others) to craft cerebral, paradoxical techno that is equally at home in the living room or on the dancefloor.

  Dark, clever and at times irreverent and humourous, the music of Konketsu is a unique sonic presence to come out of Vancouver BC that is both alien and refreshing in it's surprisingly non-West Coast aesthetic.

All songs written, recorded, arranged, produced and mixed by Rich Hamakawa (SOCAN/ASCAP) unless otherwise noted.
