Vardae - Dance with the spirits EP [KON21]

Shjva returns to the label less than a year after her brilliant Northern Lights EP saw the light of day.

A much revered producer across the scene,  Shjva consistently brings her deep and groovy style to a multitude of projects. Our ears first pricked up when we were recommended one of her self-released projects on Bandcamp. By the time her debut physical release dropped on Brutż in the winter of 2022, we were quick to join a line of labels hoping to push Shjva's talents.

Moving between Poland and Ukraine, Shjva's rise has occurred against the backdrop of the ongoing illegal invasion of her homeland. Nevertheless, she remains a shining example of the vibrant arts that can emerge from a free Ukraine. Her new track, "Blizzard," is no exception and we couldn't be more honoured to be trusted to share yet another example of Shjva's signature deep, pulsing sound 💙💛

Property (@prperty) and si’nedd (@sinedd1) pool their sound repertoires to craft something greater than the sum of its parts with ‘Genesis’, their latest collaborative project on The Hague’s Oracle Bones imprint. The result is an ode to the intangible forces — places, spaces, and connections — that have shaped their sensibilities, coalescing into ten tracks that both drift and pulse in unison.

The third release of the year is a collection of tracks that are linked to a party. The line-up includes Artefakt, an artist on the prestigious Amsterdam label Delsin. DJ MARIA who is now a techno icon in Japan. Tasoko who has had a huge musical influence on LDG. And a debut track by YUTA's new project with the outstandingly talented O-MA.

Break techno with ambient elements by Artefakt. A masterpiece with floating synths, elegant kick and bass, and a remarkable sense of balance between each part.

A energetic groove dropped into mid-tempo, DJ MARIA. opens new doors and updates the track.

Using effects on the main riff to create the structure of the track, this downtempo track shows Tasoko's playfulness and craftsmanship.

YUTA/O-MA's track, an accidental product of their sessions, is structured in two parts, the first half being break techno and the second half changing to four beats, making it one of the most innovative pieces of listening tunes in LDG's catalogue.

Offered mastering to Tobias for listening comfort and absolute sound quality. BETA 06, released 29 October.

今年のリリース第三弾は、パーティと連動した作品集。アムステルダムの名門レーベルDelsinのアーティストArtefaktを筆頭に、今や日本のテクノアイコンとなったDJ MARIA.、音楽面でLDGに多大な影響をもたらしたTasokoと、LDG主宰のYUTAとO-MAによるデビュートラックがラインナップ！

Artefaktによるアンビエント要素が散りばめられたブレイクテクノ。フローティングな上音と、上品なキックとベース、各パーツの抜き差しのバランス感など、匠技が際立った名曲。

DJ MARIA.の代名詞であるフロアライクでエネルギッシュなグルーブをミッドテンポに落とし込む、新たな扉を開いた彼女のアップデートが著しい楽曲。

メインリフの質感とエフェクトで楽曲の構成を創る、Tasokoの遊び心が存分に発揮された職人芸と言えようダウンテンポトラック。

二人のセッションから偶発的に生み出されるYUTA/O-MAの楽曲は、前半がブレイクテクノ、後半から四つ打ちに変わる二部構成、LDG作品の中でも斬新なリスニングチューン。

サウンドテクスチャーに合わせて、マスタリングはTobias.にオファー、聴き心地とクオリティを追求したBETA 06。
