Konstruktion is a label with focus on Deep House and Tools. First release named Deep Tools is made by label owner Kristian Heikkila. With previous Techno releases on labels like AFU Lab, Snork Enterprises, Natch Records, EPM Music and Gynoid Audio, Kristian breaks new ground and delivers Konstruktions first release with a nice mix of Deep and Dubby House.

Over the past 6 years WOLF Music have earned their stripes as stalwart purveyors of refined House and Disco. Now, in the follow up to Medlar and Greymatter’s debut LPs and EPs from the likes of Ishmael, Ossie and Casino Times they ready their 3rd LP from Dutchman Frits Wentink.

Now residing in Amsterdam, Frits has a glowing back catalogue of soulful, Lo Fi club material that’s touched Heist Recordings as well as WOLF in the form of his ‘Mouse’ and ‘Goose’ EPs. With an experimental approach to hardware and instrumentation, his work blooms naturally through jams and improv and in this - his debut LP: ‘Rarely Pure, Never Simple’ we see a development in this experimentation to enlivening effect.

Working with a meld of grubby samples, chunky percussion and the frequent vocal accompaniment of Utrecht based Loes Jongerling, Rarely Pure Never Simple is a journey through Frits’ influences forged into a cohesive pack of grooves and interludes tinged with a certain charming nostalgia.

Setting the bar high for 2015, London-based duo @voyeuraudio return with their soul-steeped Tonight EP out on @kerri-chandler's @madhouse-records, bringing four extended grooves lacquered with warm tones and mesmerising bounce - guaranteed rocket fuel to light up any dancefloor.

We're lucky enough to be premiering the dangerously hypnotic 'Philae & Rosetta' taken from the upcoming release. This is one to get lost in and not want to find your way out of.

Edu Imbernon & Droog - Spectral [Culprit]

Roberto Clementi, the Italian DJ and producer responsible for a slew of killer releases on labels like Soma, Steadfast, Unfoundsound and Echocord Colour, lands on the HypeLTD label with four tracks of subterranean techno sounds.

Fusing elements of dub-techno, house & electronica, Clementi has carved out a solid and consistent catalogue of music since 2012 when his debut release landed on the Brendon Moeller’s Steadfast NY label.  His association with Soma Quality Recordings, the pioneering Glasgow imprint manned by the Slam boys, began that same year, and culminated in the 2014 long player, “N Lights”.  Clementi’s current crop of releases has also received the remix treatment from artists like Marcell Dettmann, Norman Nodge and Steve O’Sullivan.

The “Novism” EP assembles four heavyweight burners then.  The dark and tense “The War Inside Me” rattles through with dramatic stabs and heady energy, whilst “THD” maintains a strong dub influence with washed out pads and bit crushed hi-hats.

With focus firmly on creating otherworldly dancefloor techno, Celementi draws out a killer groove on title track “Novism”, whilst EP closer, “Voila” layers bright and sparkly sonic elements on top of a dense and intoxicating 4/4 jam.

No nonsense,  dancefloor designed techno then from a producer who’s fast becoming a firm favourite here at Hypercolour HQ.

It's been nearly two years since Rework last appeared on Items & Things with their stunning 'Blackout' EP, but the wait is over as they return bearing their trademark sound and unassailable attitude on their new 'Missed You At L EP.

Equal parts acid, techno, punk rock, and house, the EP covers a lot of ground in four compelling tracks. Kicking things off is the title track from the EP and it sees the trio stepping back into the sound of their Playhouse days using a never ending vocal loop, lush pad sweeps, and playful stabs laid over energetic, agile drums. Quickly flipping the script, 'Dry Acid' takes a turn into the more 'ghetto' side of techno, relentlessly pushing the groove with an attitude fueled ride of pitched toms and nimble percussion. 'Don't Make Me Cry' is the high octane tune of the EP and clearly has the most sinister demeanor using a quintessential Rework vocal treatment and rapid percussion to take things to the peak. Closing things out is 'French Candy' and the EP comes full circle returning to a sound resembling what Rework is best known for lighthearted and energetic dance floor jams with a deliberate touch of sincerity.

Rework - Don't Make Me Cry

SKAI leaves his executive chair (which he shares with well-known DJ and producer Gorge) and takes up the role of artist for the next release on their label Re:Fresh Your Mind (R|Y|M). 
The German-Chilean brings us the "Ready EP" (RYM013) proving he is not just an accomplished label manager, but also an established artist with 20 years of music experience under his belt. 
Two originals, “Ready” and “Someday”, rouse your tired feet in the early morning hours of the club with a driving groove, yet drifting melancholy. 
R|Y|M is also excited to present outstanding remixes from both Mihai Popoviciu and Christian Nielsen.
Mihai, a happy new addition to the family, brings the heat with his outstanding remix of “Ready”, while R|Y|M family veteran Christian Nielsen completes SKAI’s Read EP with an electric remix of “Someday”.

This new brand brings together a crew of talented artists, who share the same thoughts about House music and its way of life, creating one platform to release music that stands for quality; Classic and timeless House/Techno combined with the technical possibilities and influences of today… 

Continuously forging his own path, irrespective of any hype and what the scene is asking for, and doing everything with a passion and the will to reach his goals has made Alex Niggemann the personality he is today. Alex grew to be an established and successful DJ & producer, wanting to release music purely for lovers, for people who cut their own path, who dance just the way they feel, celebrating and being passionate about what they do without following rules and trends; the things which characterized the “rave culture” of the 90ies. 

Only two things are important - you and the music.

The debut release, ‘Just A Little’ sees Niggemann explore a chunky tech house aesthetic, precise analogue drum programming and gnarly melodies. Narrated by a late night House mantra and punctuated by full bodied synth work, ‘Just A Little’ is destined for the more discerning floors.

Bolstering the original are two well executed remixes from fellow scene stalwarts, Glimpse and Steve Bug. Poker Flat boss Bug’s mix adds a metallic shine and sleazy edge to proceedings, whilst Glimpse employs his trademark heavy set, stripped back grooves, coated in layers of gritty atmosphere and off-kilter processing.

A strong release that forms the foundations of what is set to become the go-to label for authentic House and Techno, Alex Niggemann showcases his production prowess alongside his A&R nous.
