The 91st episode of our Syntop Audio series is hosted by V:SONNTAG.

@vsonntag, the Leipzig-based DJ, started DJing techno back in 2019.
With a mix of driving beats, infectious grooves, and hypnotic minimal rhythms, her sets keep the energy flowing.

She's graced stages at well known clubs like Tresor, Rote Sonne, About Blank, and Institut für Zukunft, both locally and abroad in England, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and Spain.

Being part of the Nebula collective, V:SONNTAG not only spins tunes but also plays a role in organizing events and managing a podcast series. Since the beginning of this year, she has been running the series „ Focus: “ to promote the visibility of FLINTA* artists.

Temasa is a Hamburg based Techno DJ and Producer. As Resident of the renowned nightclub [PAL] he already made his way on the radar of the scene. In 2023 he launched his new event series 'NEOGEN' which focuses on emerging artists, who represent and rethink the genre's primal themes.

INTERVIEW
Tell us about your beginnings - how did your journey into music and DJing start?

My musical journey started very early - I started playing different instruments at the age of five. So music has always been an important part of my life. When I was 14, I discovered electronic music - especially minimal techno, dubstep and drum and bass. These genres immediately fascinated me and inspired me to become active myself. That's how I eventually got into DJing.

How do you envisage your sound developing over the next few years?

My sound is currently characterised by hypnotic, driving and groovy techno - and this core will remain in the future. At the same time, it's important to me to constantly evolve. I always want to have new influences to keep my sound modern and lively, without losing sight of the classic basic themes and the essence of techno as a genre.

If you could design your dream night - line-up, venue, vibe - what would it look like?

My dream night is not a classic headliner event. I really like discovering new artists and being surprised - that's why I appreciate parties where the line-up is carefully curated and up-and-coming acts are deliberately given a stage. If you avoid big names, the entrance fee can also remain more affordable, which in turn gives more people access to the event. I also like it when new venues are opened up or I can get to know new clubs. This mixture of openness, curiosity and community vibe often brings with it a very special energy and makes for the perfect night for me.

A.mo is an assertive artist with a dark yet always vibrant universe. Passionate about electronic music for many years, she found in 2016 a new way to express herself behind the turntables, allowing her to fully express her
personality. Coming from a classical music and dance background, she developed a sense of rhythm and percussion that
shapes her musical aesthetic. Since 2021, she’s one of the After O Clock residents at Glazart in Paris. More recently, she cofounded a new collective named Kinetic, dedicated to a more physical, textured and raw techno. She also contributes to the artistic direction of this project.
She takes pleasure to build incisive sets intended to transport us, playing fast-paced mental techno, between percussive grooves and dark atmospheres. A highly characterized mental universe that she defends with constancy, which has led her to play in France's major cities and on the international scene in Berlin at Tresor and
RSO. She shared the bill with renowned artists like Rødhåd, Freddy K, Setaoc Mass, or Adriana Lopez.
A.mo is undoubtedly becoming one of the new French faces defined by a sharp and mental techno.

Based in Stockholm/Sweden, Lakej [ Lákeɪ ] emerges from a long heritage of Swedish techno. After many years of explorations to refine his sound, he debuted on Adriana Lopez label Grey Report with the solo EP Structural Cohesion. This debut presented a theme that would guide not only his sound but also his concepts and titles to this current date resulting in his own label and artistic platform: Solitär.With a huge love for details and rhythmic structures his music has evolved into an introspective, futuristic and yet timeless sound. With intricate textures, atmospheres and deep driving rhythms his music is constantly pushing forward contributing to the current modern underground techno scene.Since the debut his output has been steady on well established labels such as Semantica, NON series, Faut Section, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Soma and Kazerne (Mord).

We are super excited to present the 142nd episode from @aumrecordings co-founder TENO!

TENO is a DJ and producer currently based in Osaka, who has been making a strong impact on the techno scene in recent years through both his DJ sets and productions. His activities now extend not only throughout Japan but also across Europe, China, and other parts of Asia.

On the international podcast circuit, he was featured as the first artist in the new FOWRE series on Eerste Communie, curated by Marrøn, one of the world’s leading DJs based in the Netherlands. He has also contributed mixes to labels such as Polygonia’s IO Records, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE.

As a producer, TENO continues to release music on labels around the globe. Through his own techno label Aum Recordings, he released an EP featuring a remix by Munich-based artist Polygonia. Additionally, he collaborated with world-renowned DJ Wata Igarashi, who contributed a remix for TENO’s first vinyl EP, DONT CRY OVER SPILLED MILK.

In February 2025, TENO launched a second label, Monos, with the aim of expressing his unique artistic identity. The label has already released the Violet EP and Primrose EP, with the Yuugao EP set to follow soon.
