"This mix is a spontaneous one take from a while back. I really had fun playing a deep and emotional introduction with a spaced out vibe. The whole mix feels like there is no rush and the music has room to breathe! 
Eventually shifting to a more forward kind of feel—sometimes proggy sometimes acid— but always keeping the rhythm interesting. Most of the music is danceable but subtle with high details. At least that’s what I feel. Enjoy!"

The silence is broken and the Hotbox returns once more, welcoming Riet (@riet_cs), a Brussels-born DJ now refining her craft in Berlin. Through this journey, Riet has found her greatest inspiration not in records alone but in people: the dancers in front of her, the friends sharing a booth…that dialogue continues in her selections: long, floating melodies answering back to short, peculiar beats, balancing deep, melodic textures with flashes of playful minimal. From backroom basements to open-air daydreams, her sound is always about creating place as much as it is about rhythm.

This mix is Riet at her most distilled, turning to the tracks she had prepared for a rainy Renate Garten that never came to be. A patient arc that ebbs and swells, it’s transportive yet physical, the kind of set you experience with your eyes half-closed and your feet still moving, capturing the longing of a summer moment lost but not forgotten. @ira_mos, Ira Mos, a known face in Warsaw’s underground, known for her obsession with rare and unconventional sounds. For Kontext she unveils one of her favorite mixes - weaving ambient soundscapes with hip-hop influences, creating a deeply cinematic journey.

“This mix is a snapshot of my musical journey, from dreamy, deep ambient to broken, experimental structures. My love for diverse sounds started with a CD my dad gave me, a drum & bass collection, and it shaped my taste for both straightforward and twisted rhythms. Here I wanted to explore textures that pull you in, blending ambient moods with hip hop grooves and experimental twists. It is a space where sounds stretch, collide and breathe, dynamic, alive and open to both listening and feeling.”
