Wir freuen uns, euch mit dem neuen quartal eines unserer neuesten Mitglieder vorstellen zu dürfen:

Balanca !

"Balanca" ist ein Berliner DJ, Produzent und Co-Founder von The Voice Inside. Inspiriert vom Loop-Techno der 2000er Jahre begann er seine musikalische Reise mit Vinyl, bevor er sich im Zuge der Digitalisierung zunächst CDs und schließlich dem digitalen Auflegen widmete.

Sein Sound war schon immer eher deep und hat sich über die Jahre hin zu hypnotischem Techno entwickelt. Dies führte 2022 zur Entstehung seines Alias "Balanca".
Kurz darauf kreuzten sich seine Wege mit dem Kollektiv hinter quartal., sie waren der Überzeugung daß er fester Bestandteil dieses musikalischen Kreises sein sollte.
Nun können wir ihn herzlich willkommen heißen in unserer kleinen Familie.

"Balanca" is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and co-founder of The Voice Inside. Inspired by the loop-techno of the 2000s, he began his musical journey with vinyl before transitioning to CDs and eventually embracing digital DJing as technology evolved.

His sound always rather deep and has developed over the years into hypnotic techno. This evolution led to the creation of his alias "Balanca" in 2022.

Shortly thereafter, his path crossed with the collective behind quartal., who strongly believed that he should be an integral part of this musical circle.

Now, we are thrilled to officially welcome him into our small family!

Kameu stands out as one of the most dedicated and dynamic figures in Lithuania’s techno scene. With over a fifteen years behind the decks, he has continually refined both his mixing craft and track selection, adapting effortlessly to a wide range of venues and line-ups. 

His deep connection with Black Wave — a collective of hypnotic and deep techno enthusiasts — reflects this versatility. As a result, Kameu’s sets have resonated everywhere from the wild forests of Lithuania and the raw confines of underground clubs to the global stage of Boiler Room broadcasts.

His performances are as varied as his ventures, shifting seamlessly from relentless functional techno to immersive deep cuts and ambient-like pulsations, spanning everything from old-school classics to cutting-edge releases. Kameu masterfully balances the nuances of both listening and dancefloor experiences, creating sets that are thoughtful, energetic, and consistently captivating.

True to their deep, widescreen approach to both production and live-performing, Parisian outfit Atomic Moog clock in with a helluva sleek and lushly relief’d mix, recorded on the occasion of their latest live performance at Outre Bleu on March 29. Through their releases for the likes of Delsin, Appian, Lowless or Monument, the French duo has been carving a niche for itself at the fringes of the dubbed-out techno tradition and abstract-leaning experimentality. This 90 minutes jaunt into their reverb and delay-heavy imaginarium has us moving across narrow corridors and cathedral-large spaces by turn, exploring the concept of spatialization in dance music under a new, boundary-pushing light. Through focal-shifting jumps between acid-drenched beds of rippling analogue sine waves and sizzling machine circuitry, the constant angle shifts from macro to micro tell a tale of vibrant sound research, not quite picking a side between the dance floor’s sense of purpose and genre-unbound, creative unintentionality.
