Encargado del programa de radio y sello Haus of Beats y parte del booking de Forbidden Colours, Balza crea un set exquisito, con una textura en constante progresión, en la que el ritmo se fusiona bajo capas de sonidos orgánicos y atmosféricos. 

Tras aproximadamente 20 años interesado por la música electrónica, ha pasado por diferentes etapas, colectivos, radio, residencias, gestión y programación de club y eventos...
Difícil de clasificar, su amplio abanico estilístico le permite adecuarse a casi cualquier situación. Desde el ambient hasta el techno, incluyendo todo lo que queda entremedias.
A partir de 2015, dirige el programa radiofónico semanal Haus Of Beats, en Txapa Irratia (Bergara). El cuál en 2019, empezó la aventura de sello musical, habiendo editado hasta el momento 4 trabajos de otros 4 artistas diferentes, en vinilos, cassettes y formato digital.
Có-dirige el festival alternativo BET (Bergarako Elektronika Topaketa/ Encuentro Electrónico de Bergara), que este 2020 debía celebrar su sexta edición.
Desde 2020, forma parte del booking en la agencia Forbidden Colours.

Our 13th set comes from @asierbalza. Head of the radio show and label Haus of Beats and part of the Forbidden Colours booking, Balza creates an exquisite set, with a texture in constant progression, in which the rhythm fuses under layers of organic and atmospheric sounds. 

After approximately 20 years interested in electronic music, he has gone through different stages, collectives, radio, residencies, management and programming of clubs and events...
Difficult to classify, his wide stylistic range allows him to adapt to almost any situation. From ambient to techno, including everything in between.
Since 2015, he has been directing the weekly radio programme Haus Of Beats, on Txapa Irratia (Bergara). Which in 2019, he started the adventure of a music label, having released so far 4 works by 4 different artists, on vinyl, cassettes and digital format.
He directs the alternative festival BET (Bergarako Elektronika Topaketa / Bergara Electronic Meeting), which was due to celebrate its sixth edition in 2020.
Since 2020, he is part of the booking at the Forbidden Colours agency.

This song was originally written on my guitar. My goal was to find something that would go well with the guitar using electronic music, so I created a few melodies, a suitable bassline, a classic house beat, and a few little extras.

Based in Prague, Dash is an expert in seeting deep and hypnotic mood on the dancefloor. Her music is inspired by tribal and shamanic elements. This talented dj is well known not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad, as evidenced by a large number of bookings in Berlin. Over the last years, she has been slowly working with her own sounds and started to playing hybrid live/dj sets with other components, such as kalimba. With her calm style she is guiding through groovy experimental techno and ambient.

Precept 023 | Dash

The 41st edition of our mix series comes from Nadia Anderson and Rosie Cain, a.k.a. Dimensions Festival DJ Directory affiliated and Balamii Radio regulars Kiara Scuro. The duo have been popping up all over the place of late with appearances at Dimensions, Gottwood and most recently as part of Red Bull's 'Get Down Early' series which saw Legowelt warm up for them at Corsica Studios. We're expecting huge things from the talented pair in 2019 and we're thrilled to have them contributing to our mix series with this absolute cracker. Slightly lighter in mood than their usual offerings and including an incredible selection of chuggy tracks from the likes of Roza Terenzi, Zombies in Miami and Balam, it's very much appropriate for either day time or night time listening.

Serenades Podcast #71 - As Smooth As

Sebastian Mullaert has always been a seeker and an innovator, so naturally his long awaited debut solo album, ”A Place Called • Inkonst“ presents an unique artistic concept and a thoughtful exploration of the relationship between sound and space. 

For several weeks, Mullaert spent most of his time at Kontra-Musik’s home base Inkonst, an old chocolate factory turned cultural hub in the busy urban area of Möllan, Malmö city. Working in solitude outside the venue's usual hours, he built his live rig in front of the PA, right in the middle of the dance floor. This figurative role reversal between a dancer and performer allowed him to fully immerse himself in a perspective as close as possible to that of the audience during the process of creation. Mullaert’s recording studio lies deep within a beautiful forest in the south of Sweden, a setting which has increasingly made its mark on his music: lush, green and spacious. It’s a lovely place that makes for equally lovely music, but contentment is art’s worst enemy. The complete displacement during the recording process of this album has affected his music profoundly. Mullaert’s usually wide horizon of green hills and tall beech wood is more condensed and focused here, taking the form of urban patterns of life. Shades of longing and melancholy run through the album and those hazy ambient parts are no longer modelled on morning mist, they are exuding from smoke machines. 

The album is an exploration of improvisation, an approach that has become far more than a method for Mullaert:  For him this is a way of encountering the present. The tracks are expressions of chance; collisions and collaborations of sound waves caught in the moment by Mullaert, like snapshots of fleeting harmony. The thematics are always distinct but at the same time ever morphing, pulsating and breathing like living entities. As the music changes we accordingly change with it. New patterns of movement and thought emerge and we improvise to keep up. This is the concept of dancing in its purest form, but also of meditation. A place called • Inkonst is made for both. 

A place called • Inkonst is Sebastian Mullaert’s hommage to improvisation - an approach that is central to his work as a musician, as well as his critically acclaimed Circle Of Live event series concept he launched last year. The here and now is always in a state of flux, so improvising is the only true way to experience the present.

My first solo album "A Place Called • Inkonst" is available via Kontra-Musik, on double vinyl and digital, from November 4, 2019.

The vision for this album was bring my live gear and place it and myself in an audience perspective at different locations / rooms, and let improvisation take place. I believe we are always travelling through different rooms (dimensions) such as physical, mental or emotional.

How do these rooms affect each other in the creative expression, how do the rooms affect the expression and how does the expression affect the rooms?

I took my gear to the left-field music and art hub Inkonst in Malmö and spent six weeks exploring, jamming, improvising and feeling. This album is the result.
