Madloch's Crossfade Sounds is pleased to welcome back Oldschool Dubtechno .Producer for their second appearance on the label, presenting the Book of Palaces EP. The project is the creative alliance of Siberian brothers Alexander Kotlov (X_FR) and ENERCUBE, co-founders of the influential PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB label and podcast channel. With a shared vision rooted in the landscapes of their homeland, the duo has cultivated a sound that fuses rugged atmospheres with meditative depth, embodying the philosophy of contemporary dub techno while retaining a timeless old-school spirit.

Following their 2024 debut Shadow Astrology EP, Oldschool Dubtechno .Producer now unveils four new originals, each carrying their signature balance of weight and subtlety. Opening with Epiphysis Cerebri and Prince of Angels, the duo establishes a framework of immersive grooves and shadowy textures, before venturing into Rahatiel Stargate, a track marked by expansive layers and hypnotic drift. Closing piece Sefer Hekhalot encapsulates the essence of the release, offering a spacious, contemplative journey that lingers long after its final tones fade.

With Book of Palaces, Oldschool Dubtechno .Producer continues to expand their narrative within the Crossfade catalogue, reaffirming their role as architects of the Siberian dub techno sound while offering a release that resonates equally on introspective and club-focused stages.

This week we welcome @djchadandrew on the KbF Radio podcast.

Chad has a rare simplicity to his sound. Quiet and introverted, he allows his music to speak volumes. His sound is often comprised of minimalistic grooves infused with deep hypnotic rhythms focusing on heavy low ends and contrasting meticulously crafted hats. Growing up on a musical diet of hip hop, classical, and jazz music, these influences helped him to shape what is now his sound. You can find him frequently involved in larger parties all around the world such as BPM, WMC, Sonar, ADE and also playing regularly at more intimate venues such as Club Der Visionaere Berlin and Ibiza Underground.

To mark reaching this remarkable milestone, they plan a special series of international shows and a relaunch of their influential and ground- breaking label.Taking their lead directly from the acid house movement, Nathan Coles and Terry Francis first brought Wiggle to life through their heady warehouse parties in the early 90s. Unpretentious to their core, these now infamous events were known for their purist values – community and a sound that booms. Finding a kindred spirit in another new face, Eddie Richards became resident from early sets and was a key figure from the off.Through these now historic events, they embedded themselves deeply into London’s party landscape becoming familiar faces at cultural institution fabric. Heavily based around the core residents they also invited parts of the international and local world from Richie Hawtin, Jay Tripwire, Abe Duque and Colin Dale.It’s about here we acknowledge Wiggle’s place in originating tech house - working the hard line swagger of techno together with the depth of feeling of house, matching rhythm with bass in a way perfectly aligned with endless hours of hedonism.
