NOW YOUR BOY IS IN THE ATL LIVING MY DREAMS...

Lucke Bands hails from Maywood, IL . Born and bred on the west side of Chicago, aka ‘The Land,’ his music reflects his life experiences and aspirations. As an all star athlete surrounded by up and coming talent, his rapping came easy and recording songs was his outlet when he wasn’t setting records on the football field. A 2006 knee injury and subsequent stint at a suburban Junior College reshaped his NFL dreams and returned his focus to his first loves; his music and his city. Lucke began to write songs that reflected the struggles of learning what it meant to be a black man in Chicago, and having his dreams altered. Tracks like ‘Work No More’, and ‘Rent Due’ showcase his ability to connect his life experiences to every day struggles felt by the masses, while up tempo tracks like ‘Geronimo’ and ‘Blue Strips’ capture the big dollar aspirations of thousands of young black Chi-town youth. Lucke is currently working on releasing his first EP entitled Sweet Home Chicago…which sums up what his mission is all about. Make quality music and bring the glory back to Sweet Home Chicago.
