Waves is a soulful downtempo jam that takes its inspiration from the ebb and flow of ocean waves. The dusty drums and vintage guitar lines create a bed of nostalgia reminiscent of old surf films like the Endless Summer, while the dreamlike vocal from Alaska Reid adds a modern contrast leading the listener through intricate instrumental electronic sections. 
 
“This song was inspired by the feeling of surfing a wave and the culture built around it. Having grown up surfing in Florida I spent countless hours watching surf movies and hoping to soundtrack them one day. The movie Endless Summer connected with me as a kid and I too dreamed of chasing down perfect waves on remote islands. Waves is the soundtrack to this quest and I hope it can take you somewhere.”

Season Two is the new compilation album from Loci Records, curated by downtempo favourite Emancipator. The collection is a wondrous explosion of vibrant sonic textures enriched with soulful and emotive pieces from notable Loci alumni artists, as well as several new additions, heralding what's to come from the label.
A contemporary look at where downtempo stands today in electronic music, Season Two weaves in and out of various flavours ranging from instrumental hip-hop, lo-fi beat, ambient IDM, left-field electronica, and more.

'Tangerine Sour' is taken from 'A Thousand Clouds' by Emancipator & 9 Theory. 

A Thousand Clouds is the follow-up EP to Emancipator and 9 Theory's highly-acclaimed 2019 collaboration, Cheeba Gold. After the success of their first EP, and how fun and organic the making of it was, the two west-coast electronic music producers set out to see if they could recreate that magic once again with 4 new songs. The two spent one week together at Emancipator's studio in the Oregon woods and went from a completely blankslate to this finished new EP in just 6 days. To keep in the spirit of Cheeba Gold this new EP, A Thousand Clouds, was also intended to be only 4 songs, be made quickly without overthinking it too much, and the track order of the songs is again the same order in which they were made. The end result is another unique, magical blend of electronic, downtempo, indie, and hip-hop that lives somewhere really special outside of what either artist would ever make on their own.

Koresma creates a blend of chilled electro-acoustic music centered around a strong drum groove. Inspired by landscapes and their influence on sounds, Koresma just finished working on a four part album based on the theme of a compass. The frour EP's, East, West, and North and South are out now!
