Three groove grandmasters take us on a ride down the backroads of the Odyssey that started recently with the same- named debut album of @hollynorth. Following their very own approach, each of them opens an entirely new chapter of this epic piece of dance music. Featuring a unique blend of downtempo electronic dance music with elements of acoustic piano and intimate voices, the upcoming EP "Aura" promises to be a captivating listening experience.
Aura is a fusion of aggressive, punchy downtempo beats that collide with genuine voices and spheric piano soundscapes. The key concept is a playful experiment with contrasts. The absence of one element makes another more visible, just as the absence of light gives room for darkness, and vice versa. I somehow only managed to record the first 30 minutes of a 2.5-hour set for the lovely Susan’s birthday @ Serratus. Cherishing the memories of a great Sunday afternoon surrounded by dancing people, I’m sharing this little warm-up take.

The people from The Gardens of Babylon became like a family for me in 2018. I remember attending their Wild as the Moon party in January. Voodoofox and Chris & Mira were playing in the big room at the Marktkantine. I remember thinking "WOW, it would be such an honour if I could ever play here too." And then I got an invitation to play at The Monastery, their 3 day festival in July. It was perhaps the best gig I had that summer. I connected so well with all the people there and I was incredibly happy when I got invited to play in De Marktkantine on New Year's Eve. I opened the main floor. It was quite scary in the beginning with a completely empty room. But luckily lots of people dropped in quickly and after one hour the room was almost full. It became a very special night that I will always remember. Thank you Gardens of Babylon family for having me. Cannot wait to be reunited in Istanbul in February and later this year at The Monastery. LoveLoveLove and enjoy my set!
