Koroza is a Sydney-based producer making fresh-sounding beats backed by weird, but beautiful, carefully structured melodic samples & vocal harmonies.

“My production techniques are bound by zero rules.” 24 year old Lachlan Orr has been messing around with music production software for about 10 years after discovering GarageBand on his laptop as a kid.

The release of his debut self-titled 16 track album in April of 2020 was a big statement. His broadened style allows for a gentle change of energy and emotions throughout the 33 minute listen. ‘Stay’ featuring Sydney talent Jessica Hay has some of the weirdest production on the project, but serves as solid bridge work from an interlude into the heaviest piece on the record, ‘Cycles’.

2021 saw the release of various singles and his sophomore EP. However, it is his ‘Data Groove’ extended play and his increased engagement with vocalists which allows for his musical style to evolve in new ways. Patricia Edwards provides some beautifully soulful vocals to work with in tracks like 'Will You Be Ready' & 'Falling'. Her sound really encapsulates the overall feeling of the EP.

Korozas 2022 promo tape varied heavily in sound design compared to his previous works. The tempo can change drastically from track to track, keeping listeners on their toes. His Sense EP followed shortly after the promo tape. Tracks like 'Don't Talk' and 'Snow' reveal a hidden talent in his ability to flip genres in an instant.

Indy artist thats trying to motivate the people. Music with substance is missing in these times, just want to make you vibe and think.
