It’s time for the label founders to take control over our spaceship. Clusterhead offers four slices of proper abstract techno for those who know.
Release starts with Alteración del orden: a broken kick spiced with elastic synth washes and microdrones sets the pace while the rest of the percussive elements appear softly in the arrangement. The main sequence grows and mutates as minutes go by, reverb and stereo treatment goes heavier until repetition makes the desired effect on the virtual dancefloor.
Second cut Resiliencia Incesante again relies on broken kicks and processed synth lines. The BPM rate is higher here and the percussive elements are snapper and tighter. Sounds twist and change over time as the frequency range grows. An industrial ode to obscurity.
On the flip side, Automutilación creativa brings us again into oblivion, shuffled grooves obsessive sequences continuously moving and high pitched synthetic drums running through the stereo field.
Closing the release we have Notzing on board, still recovering from his amazing experimental work on our label, we give him again the commands of our spaceship to translate his mental obsessions in this superb rework of Automutilación creativa.
One more time we push the sound boundaries on behalf of timeless futuristic music in touchable format.

Es hora de que los fundadores del sello tomen el control de nuestra nave
espacial. Clusterhead ofrece cuatro rebanadas de techno abstracto para aquellos que saben de lo que hablamos.
El disco comienza con Alteración del orden: ritmos rotos condimentados con sonidos elásticos de sintetizador y microdrones marcando el ritmo, mientras que el resto de los elementos percusivos aparecen suavemente en el arreglo. La secuencia principal crece y muta a medida que pasan los minutos, la reverberación y el tratamiento estéreo se vuelven más presentes hasta que la repetición produce el efecto deseado en la pista de baile virtual.
Como segundo corte Resiliencia Incesante nuevamente se basa en bombos rotos y líneas de sintetizador procesadas. La tasa de BPM es más alta aquí y los elementos de percusión son más rápidos y ajustados.
Los sonidos se retuercen y cambian con el tiempo a medida que aumenta el rango de frecuencia. Una oda industrial a la oscuridad.
En la cara B, Automutilación creativa nos trae de nuevo al lado oscuro, grooves mezclados, secuencias obsesivas en continuo movimiento y percusiones sintéticas de alto rango recorriendo el campo estéreo.
Cerrando el lanzamiento tenemos a Notzing a bordo, todavía recuperándonos de su asombroso trabajo experimental en nuestro sello, le damos de nuevo los comandos de nuestra nave espacial para plasmar sus obsesiones mentales en esta soberbia reelaboración de Automutilación creativa.
Una vez más empujamos los límites del sonido en nombre de la música futurista atemporal en formato táctil.

B2 Automutilación Creativa (Notzing Vision)

We continue our sonic adventure with Blovk, producer and sound designer from Madrid, he has refined his musical idea with his peculiar way of understanding techno and electronic music in general.
Releasing on labels such as Awry, Subosc, Postdynamic, Subsist, Doppt Zykkler, MainConcept... and his own imprint, Outside Noises.
In our XL series we want to showcase every corner of our artists’ sound spectrum. We are not just commited to raw and direct dancefloor weapons, we are also aiming the mind of the listener.
To make attemporal electronic music is one of our objectives and this record in particular deserves a place in the list of music to be played loud when all this nightmare finishes.
First cut on wax is Of sleep and tears, an emotional title that describes a dronney atmospheric introduction. Beatless, textured, full of resonant details and space wind.
Pouring Flesh brings the beat to the scene with a clear bass drum and a shuffled bassline setting the patch to martian synth noises and stereo details, all enclosed in an intelligent structure full of subtle twists and hypnosis.
The thinking hand combines synthetic details with precise beats on a progressive arrangement.Elements come into action wisely, pulsating electronic grooves fighting with floaty elements make the recipe.
Fluids above the skin open the B side in a darker mood. Heavy sub bass action and profound synthesizer lines setting the mood for what comes next.
Shedding machines acts as an ambient interlude in similar coordinates as the first cut in this mini LP.
Closing the release Fluent Gods, an electrified mental dance workout using a similar sound palette as the previous ones. Detailed and precise sound design ranging from sharp asymmetrical sequences, ethereal textures and profuse bass frequencies.

El primer corte del vinilo es Of sleep and tears
, un título emotivo que describe una introducción atmosférica a base de drones. Ausente de ritmo, texturizado, lleno de detalles resonantes y viento espacial. Pouring Flesh trae el ritmo a escena con un bombo claro y una línea de bajo móvil y dinámica que se combina con ruidos de sintetizador marciano y detalles estéreo, todo encerrado en una estructura inteligente llena de sutiles giros e hipnosis.
The thinking hand combina de nuevo detalles sintéticos con ritmos precisos en un arreglo progresivo. Los elementos entran en acción sabiamente, los sonidos electrónicos pulsantes luchan con elementos flotantes para conseguir una receta única.
Fluids above the skin abre la cara B en un estado de ánimo más oscuro. La intensa acción de los subgraves y las profundas líneas de sintetizador crean el ambiente ideal para lo que viene a continuación.

Cerrando el lanzamiento Fluent Gods, un ejercicio de baile mental electrificado que utiliza una paleta de sonido similar a las anteriores: Diseño de sonido detallado y preciso que abarca desde secuencias nítidas, texturas etéreas y profusas hasta las frecuencias más graves.

In the end I thought doing something I can listen to and take you with me. It’s as personal as it gets. It's a wild mix of Pop, Drum N Bass, Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Electronic Music you name it. Sōgi explores death and Japanese funerary rites from an anthropological point of view. This work reflects a contrast between modern and traditional ideas. It is comprised of four different acts:
1. Seppukku
Routes the listener’s heart into the last minutes of the mind of a lost person, with no hope, sank in a sea of modern worries and low self-esteem. The piece is a tunnel of anxiety and desperation that ends in a traditional form of suicide.
This act should be listened to from a first person perspective.
2. Sōgi
Routes the listener’s mind into the funeral rite of the person who committed suicide. Minimal, contemplative and meditative tendencies. The prayers are full of shame and stupefaction after discovering the corpse. The other people cannot explain reasons of why he put an end to his life.
This act should be listened to from a third person perspective.
3. Kasō
Routes the listener’s body into the deceased's soul during the cremation process. The sensation of being trapped inside the coffin, entering the furnace, full of culpability and rage about all those who feel shame, disappearing from the physical world.
This act should be listened to from a first person perspective.
4. Onryō
Routes the listener’s soul into another metaphysical plane. The purgatory itself as an entity, expels the vengeful soul of the deceased person, who blinded by grief, is coming back to a place between the physical and the astral plane.
This act is influenced by the sounds and sensations that can be listened to, experienced and felt during an astral projection, when the person is traveling through different planes of reality.

Onryō

Our third digital release comes from Perfo, known before as Discreet Haven. A young french producer based in Berlin. He offers four cuts of rugged, intense and textured techno named Sheathing Variations 1 - 4.

Variation number one starts with a solid kick drum and reverberated textures growing. More sonic elements join the equation as time evolves while everything is surrounded by phased drones ,mutating constantly as more percussive elements come along. No massive breaks, no sudden changes, detail and sound architecture at its best.

Number two shares similar feelings, a solid bass drum and reverberated ambiences to start with, shuffled percussive elements, resonant bleeps and more textured layers joining the dance. Every sound component has its place in the stereo field showcasing the studio skills of this producer.

​On the virtual B side, Variation number three speeds the tempo, adds a synthetic groove bassline, preserves the density and texture of the previous but adding more melodic elements as well as a busiest rhythm approach. A peak time mixing tool.

​Closing the release Variation four, same feelings as the previous numbers but moving the textures back, giving more presence to the sequenced components and using classic 909 rides and snares to spice the groove.

If you mix the four cuts in a row you can perceive how connected they are argumentally wise, as a soundtrack of a dystopian future.
