Let’s start 2025 with gingembre's first album, “Human Traces” — an inquiry into what it means to be a human.

Each of the 11 tracks was produced reflecting on the complexity of existence. From “There is No Spoon”, a nod to The Matrix and our self-created realities, to “Fragments of the Self”, inviting the listener to reflect on their own inner world.

While the album acknowledges the presence of melancholia and darkness, its overarching tone leans towards hope and bliss — an uplifting reminder of the beauty found in our shared struggles and triumphs.

What began as a spontaneous jam session has since transformed through years of revisions. The result is a polished yet raw track that dances between gangster hip-hop vibes and an epic, uplifting hook.

The first time I had the idea to remix this outstanding song was in 2002. But my studio skills and musical abilities at that time were a long way from mastering this challenge. 2011 I made the first attempt of a reconstruction and new interpretation of „A Forest“. While I did it, I had to realize that the original tempo is astonishing 159 BPM. Fast enough for a proper Drum and Bass edit. Would the tune work much slower? I would say it does. Now this is the second attempt another 14 years later…

What began as a rough drum loop and a raw vocal recording by TROJH quickly blossomed into a powerful collaboration across continents. Behind the Sound:
In the studio, KOYENGA, Solar Kings, and TROJH worked exclusively with Ableton Live, employing a hybrid approach of software and analog gear. The setup included iconic synthesizers such as the Korg Miniloog, Bass Station, and Arturia, complemented by favorites like U-he Diva, Omnisphere, and Native Instruments' Kontakt. This combination allowed the artists to create a rich and immersive sonic landscape, characterized by hypnotic rhythms and emotive melodies.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.
there are no limits, as there is no mind. 

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

50% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday. Part of the artists’ stream shares are directed towards these efforts.
