Morocco’s most respected ambassador for electronic music, Amine K, cues up a release that’s been some time in the making. ‘Taran’ comes in two versions, offering up pure vibes for both the day and the night, and the seasoned artist, who has previously released for Sol Selectas, Get Physical and Akbal Music, dishes up his debut for BLOND:ISH’s ABRACADABRA label in fine style. Amine K gives us an insight into these wonderful brace of tracks…

“I started the track some seven or eight years ago. Back then, I really wanted to make something different, sexy and original and that would be appealing to a larger audience than what I was producing for back then. I ended up digging into different genres to see if I could crossover into them with my electronic music, and that’s how I found this dancehall reggaeton kind of vocal. And I loved it! However, I tried many times to get something out of it, but it just wasn’t the right. Fast forward two years, and I finally had something that I thought was pretty cool, so I sent it to Viv and she started playing it, but we both knew the track could be better. So, when the lockdown hit, I went back to my old tracks, but now having the knowledge and mastery of those past 10 years. I ended up having a good idea of what I wanted to do, and I've finally achieved it, and I got two versions. One is the Dr. Gonzo mix, which is more like day, uplifting and housey vibes, and the El Loko Mix which is more by night, and after-hours house vibes. Viv ended up liking both versions and here we are now :).”

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

This is the first, and probably not the last, of the Fairy Of The Lake of many colors. First there was the Blue Fairy, then, people, you asked for more, and we made up the Red Fairy, and, when you wanted more still, the White Fairy was put together. The remixes in the compilation are borrowed from many countries, Turkey, Russian Federation, France, Costa Rica, Canada. However much these nations differ about trifles, they all agree in liking fairy tales. The reason, no doubt, is that men were much like children in their minds long ago, long, long ago, and so before they took to writing newspapers, and sermons, and novels, and long poems, they told each other stories, such as you read in the fairy books. They believed that witches could turn people into beasts that could speak, that magic rings could make their owners invisible, and all the other wonders in the stories. Then, as the world became grown-up, the fairy tales which were not written down would have been quite forgotten but that the old grannies remembered them, and told them to the little grandchildren: and when they, in their turn, became grannies, they remembered them, and told them also. So the new SHANGO RECORDS EP is a compilation and includes seven amazing remixes for your personal book of tales. Songs about love, hate, broken dreams, suffocation and holding hands.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.
there are no limits, as there is no mind. 

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

33% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday.
