From the prolific cultural epicenter of Montréal, Marie has emerged as one of the foremost electronic artists in contemporary underground pop today. As a long-time member of Les Momies de Palerme, Hotel Monochrome, DKMD, and Essaie Pas, Marie has continued to hone her many talents in Montréal’s fervent experimental communities for much of her adult life. Davidson’s intimate solo work is embodied through a host of synthesizers and drum machines that coalesce in synchronized harmony, punctuated by Marie’s hypnotic vocal delivery, sung and spoken in both French and English. Her third album Un Autre Voyage demonstrates her heightened compositional skill behind a sequencer as well as her singular ability to anesthetize the senses through the documentation of her own serial pattern of experiential growth.

Slow Mo Lounge and its founder, Kongisto, are back with their 3rd global mixtape collab for 2025 with none other than super-producer and DJ, Rayko, super-label head honcho at Rare Wiri, all the way in Madrid, Spain. 

Rayko starts with an unforgettable one-hour and thirty-minute showcase of all his own edits produced over the years to the present day, from new, unreleased, and unshazamable nu-disco edits to Rare Wiri exclusives, a global first for the Slow Mo Lounge. 

South Africa's Kongisto plays the rest, serving newly released slow-mo, hidden gems and classic scorchers that have brought heat to dancefloors globally through the decades.

Based in the beautiful and vibrant city of Madrid, Spanish DJ and producer extraordinaire, Rayko, has been a leading light in the clubbing scene around Europe and beyond, since he founded his magnificent Rare Wiri label in 2008 where he has released some of the most notable names out like Daniele Baldelli, Prins Thomas, Hot Toddy, Man Parrish, Eric Duncan plus many others.  

Rayko's endless production catalogue is quite impressive, which includes releases on major labels like Midnight Riot, Editorial Records, Astrolead Recordings, Spicy US, Spa Club, Boite Music, Whiskey Disco, Get Down Edits, Nang, Eskimo, Is it Balearic? Cititrax is thrilled to present a full length LP entitled Adieux Au Dancefloor by Montreal based recording artist, Marie Davidson. Marie Davidson has emerged as one of the foremost electronic artists working in contemporary pop today. As a long-time member of Essaie Pas (DFA Records), Davidson has had the opportunity to hone her many talents. She has been participating in the city’s vibrant experimental community for much of her adult life. However, in 2012 she began to unveil compositions under her own name, revealing a solo artist who possessed the combined confidence and vulnerability required to write, produce and perform unaccompanied. Davidson’s intimate solo work is embodied through a host of synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines which coalesce in synchronized harmony, punctuated by vocals, half sung, half spoken in both French and English. She masterfully shapes the overall mood, themes, emotion, expression and intensity of her work, which gives the final result a distinctive, cinematic quality. 
With Adieux Au Dancefloor, Marie makes a slight departure from her last two releases, via Holodeck (2015) and Weyrd Son (2014), by creating her first fully dancefloor oriented piece of work. Through the 45 minutes of music that comprises the album, she experiments with pop structures, defines her voice, and layers rhythms to make complex and beautiful techno tracks. She closes the album with the title track in classic Chanson style.
Adieux Au Dancefloor will be released on October 6th. The record will be pressed on 160 gram white vinyl and will feature photographs by the equally talented Corinne Schiavone. The record will be housed in a full color printed heavyweight jacket along with matching printed inner sleeve. Pre-order available now. Digital release to follow.
