Weightless is an EP of intricate original piano compositions by UK artist Alex Kozobolis. With a series of solo releases over the past few years and collaborations with artists such as Lee Chapman, Harry Edwards, and Anna Rose Carter, Weightless represents Alex's unique approach to composition and melody.

His touch on the piano is light and fluid; moving between dense sustained runs, which evaporate as soon as they are heard, to spaciously plotted notes. Weightless is the sound of weight itself lifting, of the earthly effect of gravity removed and allowing the listener to be suspended within mid-air, uninterrupted by pressures and restrains of the physical world. Coursing with energy, and running to take flight.

Each of the four tracks have been remixed by Siavash Amini, Tom Adams, Trnspt and Hedia, with very different, but cohesive results, expanding the tone of the EP into new areas.

Weightless will be available on limited clear vinyl, digipack CD and digital editions.

I grew up listening to and drowning to myself in ambient music world. I used to have visions, used to imagine an endless world of my own design and creation full of rain and clouds and beauty. As I grew older these visions stopped and I was forced to live without them for a very long time until recently, as I was falling sleep in a summer afternoon in my dark room, I had another vision. I was floating on the water in the ocean. Just water and nothing else. The sky was grayish blue and the sea was harsh. It made so happy. Maybe my old self is coming back to me. of course, not old me. The real me.

This is my first drone piece. I used a single guitar note a series of heavy sound processing for the loops.

Μπήκε στο πρώτο κύταρο σαν μια μικρή ακίδα
κι ότι απ' αυτό γεννήθηκε θέλησε να υποτάξει

Τ'αμέριμνα μικρά παιδιά, τα ζώα και τα δέντρα
ποτέ της δεν τα γλέντησε, δεν είχε τι να κάνει.
Μα αν έβρισκε συνείδηση, έβγαζε την βουκέντρα
κι έσπρωχνε την βαρύθυμη στην τρομερή χοάνη

Θλίψη σαν αδιόρατο βελόυδο, σαν μετάξι

Όπου τα λόγια είναι φτωχά, το πένθος είναι γλέντι
κι όπου μπορούν να ερωτευτούν η όμορφη κυρία 
-που από τα ψώνια της γυρνά στο σπίτι ευτυχισμένη-
κι ο σκελετός που βρέθηκε κάπου στην Σιβηρία

Στρατιές περάσαν απο κεί, χαθήκανε στην δίνη 
σε μιά πραγματικότητα ρευστή σαν άγριο μέλι
οι ανήσυχοι σταυρώθηκαν, οι ήσυχοι τρομάξαν
κι ένας περίπου αλώβητος: ''ο κύριος δεν με μέλει"
