As a couple, in life and behind the decks, Vijay & Sofia, they lead the discussion on social network and on the dance-floors since 2 years, but the career of Vijay started well before, with collaborations as the like of Nico Pusch or Rodriguez Jr. Without forgetting the past, Vijay open the doors to the duet at the end of 2012.

An artist can share his life only with another artist, and that's why the duo works so well. Sofia has the soul of an artist that sticks to the skin. A well-chosen word for a tattoo artist. This graphic artist with a strong universe is also a huge fan of music and dance (More than 12 years as dancer) and Vijay led him to be with him behind the decks and software productions.

I was sleeping, exhausted from the crazy endless party from the morning before. Waking up and looking at the time I saw that I was 1am and I remembered that I was scheduled to play at 2am at Robot Heart! I quickly got dressed and jumped on my bike alongside Pao, my partner in crime. My Colombian girlfriend was confident she could see the bus in the distance, I was sure it wasn't Robot Heart, but as always I followed her insanity and we peddled for 20 minutes guided by her intuition (insanity)!

Still hungover, and even more groggy from the rushed bike ride, we arrived at a red sign. The bus no where in sight. In a moment of despair, I almost gave up, almost turned around, almost rode home. At least I could be sure of my comfortable bed. Exhausted, exhausted further from more peddling, from arguing, from thinking of my excuse for why I didn't make it for my first Robot Heart set we suddenly came across the bus! I was sure we'd missed my set or at the very least that we were very late but we made it.

With this being my first burn, finally finding and then climbing up on the bus was the most unique, magical experience for me. The experience of searching for the bus, finally playing and then struggling to find my way back to our bikes afterwards was a series of events that I'll never forget. The camp gifted me with a necklace fabricated from pieces of the original heart engraved with my name that I wear to this day!

Rick was surrounded by music ever since - his grandfather was playing viola in a theatre his entire life and his parents took him to concerts frequently. Born in 1986 in the east part of the Berlin he moved to several cities within Germany - after graduating from school and studying business and economics to follow a regular job for a couple of years he decided to take a year off in order to travel around the globe in 2014. He was playing more & more DJ gigs at that time just by walking in and asking to play music for a bit which ended mostly in long sundown sets up to 6 hours. He got more and more passionated and wanted to create his own tracks. 

Three years later (and finally back in Berlin) he is working daily in his own record studio in Berlin in order to perfect his sound. Rick is also playing regular DJ Gigs in several clubs and bars in Berlin or organizing events with his friends and DJ`s/producers MANTU & Philipp Mollenkott. In 2017 they started to threw parties in corner shops and organized their own open air just to have a good time with their friends which ended up being shut down by the police with more than 2.000 dancing people. Ricks Dj sets are always adjusted to the certain situation from deep and groovy build-up phases to peak time dance floor atmospheres, always percussive and melodic with a tribal touch. 

The record „Tamèle“ is showing a sort of melancholic side with a chilled groove that fits to every sundowner set. The soundworld combines dreamy sound elements and a calming piano that guides through the whole track.

Hedda Stenberg is a full time DJ joining Sound Coalitions from Stockholm, Sweden. Hedda’s music comes to us simply from exploring SoundCloud and being curious about her profile. Once we took a listen to her mixes, our focus quickly noted the suave mixing, excellent track choice, and story telling quality that embodies her work on every set. We decided to reach out and learn more about the artist, and this is where Hedda’s kindness and tenacity to bring more women into the DJ scene became apparent. Over the last few years, Hedda has been part of PM Sessions, a Stockholm female collective that organized quality parties and promoted women into the DJ scene. She held a residency at club F12 in Stockholm where she assisted Aftermath Management with bookings and curating artists from across the city. Hedda is also a regular at the world renown Kvarteret where she has played alongside artists like DJ Tennis, Omar S., B. Traits, and DJ Seinfeld. Hedda is optimistic and engaged to make 2019 her best year yet and with the mix she sent us, we feel her flow and clarity in her style will take her there. Big thanks to Hedda- we know the scene in Stockholm and across Europe appreciates your quality work and mindset to bring more women into electronic music.
