★ ist ein weitgereister Gentleman: 
Aus der Schweizer Provinz, wo er seine ersten (und zweiten) musikalischen Schritte unternahm, zog es ihn in den Straßendschungel der deutschen Hauptstadt Berlin, wo er 6 Jahre lang blieb und sein Handwerk vertiefte. Zusammen mit seinem damaligen Mitbewohner Dave Dinger zog er um die Häuser und bespielte mit ihm Clubs wie die Bar25.
Und wer es in Berlin schafft, der erobert das kleine Zürich im Sturm: Matija machte sich nach seiner Rückkehr auf, die Schweizer Szene-Metropole zu erobern. Mit Erfolg: Nach Partyreihen im Supermarkt, Hive (und anderen Clubs) arbeitete er jahrelang als Nachtmanager im Zürcher Hive Club und ist in diesem immer noch als Resident tätig.
Als ehemaliger Nachtmanager von Gonzo, Frieda's Büxe und Hive ist er nun seit 24 Jahren als DJ in der ganzen Schweiz und oft auch international unterwegs..

Here is the live recording of my set at 44,5 Katzen tanzen auf'm Tisch at Kater Blau last monday. I had the chance to play a little faster than usual in the beginning, before entering familiar slowrave waters after a while.

Jaaaauuu! I have absolute no words for this Saturday morning sunrise (06.08.22 // 04:00-07:00) in Juicy.

Thank you for every one who stayed dancing even waiting for the storm that never came. Family vibes, thank you @tiagooudman for handling me the booth in such a high energy and thank you Juicys for the invitation and for always having my back. I love this family. 

Thank you Garbicz for always welcoming me in the sweetest way and letting me be part of this beautiful ground and circle. And of course thank you to all the music producers for sharing their tracks and everyone that made this festival possible.

2022 is being the year that I learned to play faster and rediscovered the deep raver that was sleeping for some time. I left all the mistakes present in the recording: the moment that the fader stopped working because of the dust, the moment where I wanted to sing and I got loads of feedback and unexpected effects - booth was so full that people pressed the buttons from the effect machine hahaha - it's is part of the fun. I hope this recording reflects the energy that we shared in these three hours.

i’m very happy to present you my live-debut on fusion festival.
i had the great pleasure to play friday afternoon at the lovely, cozy, crazy space hosted by fer à coudre. it was a great atmosphere to enjoy some nice drinks and play a few tunes for many familiar and some new faces.
this set consists of mostly unreleased material, thought there are some plans to release some of it later this year. :)

The Brazilian Japanese DJ Kotoe (@kotoek) comes from a Musical theater background, so it’s being an adventure to fit her past experience into the present one: singing for the first time in a set and finding the hybrid balance. We're more than glad to host this moment. In 2015 Berlin became Kotoe's home, but Sao Paulo and Tokyo are still hometowns for her.

This 126th edition was recorded in her Birthday weekend in Fort Gorgastthat’s located between Germany and Poland that exists since 1883 and a small festival called Festherum is made by friends every year around there. Festherum was the first festival that she ever met, making it a special occasion. As the theme of the Festival was “Childhood” and since She came back from Japan after collecting “not so usual” music influence, Kotoe have chosen “Alice in Wonderland” (by Lewis Carroll) as main inspiration for the podcast. 

As Alice, the DJ followed the rabbit with the watch, out of curiosity and the desire to explore a different world, each character has a representative song: the twins, the caterpillar, the cat, the flowers… Engage your senses and have fun with the trip though Kotoe's Wonderland.

We met Kotoe in the production of Festival Nomade some years ago. Since then we became friends, traveled together and had many great adventures. She played many shows with us, is resident of Tropical Twista rec and Love foundation, two projects we share many ideas with.
As we were building and hosting a stage on this years Melt! festival (@meltfestival) we just had to invite her. It was a wonderful time. 
 We hope to share more years with her, full of lakes, clubs, seas, festivals and mountains. Big love. <3

Damit die Fusion 2019 gerade in diesem Moment stattfinden kann,  musste der Kulturkosmos und auch wir alle ganz schön kämpfen. Doch für „Die Freiheit der Kunst“ lohnt es sich einmal mehr aufzustehen und seine Stimme zu erheben … denn wir wollen uns unsere Kunst und Utopien nicht wegnehmen lassen.

Den Termin für diesen Podcast haben wir schon länger ausgemacht und er ist ganz zufällig auf den Fusion Termin gefallen. Als Frida und Judith mir dann den Mix geschickt haben, meinten sie „Da er zur Fusion raus kommt, haben wir uns ne kleine Sache überlegt und so eine Art "Fusion Special" gemacht (mit kleinen Pressekonferenz schnipseln am Anfang und Ende).“ Und weil die Fusion 2019 schon jetzt etwas ganz spezielles ist … wurde es auch hier ein Special. DANKE FUSION … Danke Kulturkosmos … Danke Fridi und Judi <3

Allen Fusionisten wünsch ich eine umwerfende und zauberhafte Fusion mit viel Freiheit und Kunst. Und meinen Hörer und allen die nicht auf die Fusion fahren hier nun eine wunderbare Stunde mit Frida und Judith.

Without the support from our loved ones, we wouldn't be able to go further, to grow and challenge ourselves. 

Last year, I took the decision of starting to produce music, with no idea of what would come of me. Mostly of the tracks here, are authored - I still have waaay to go, that's why I would love your feedback :)Some strange sounds for sure, some research into voice and how to make use of it are the experiments of this set and tracks. (It's a bit different from what I usually do for sure :P)Thank you so much Garbicz festival for supporting this adventure and @billy-caso for your patience in teaching.  

 The sound from the last song (from Danilo Timm) was taken from a video from a dear friend of ours, recorded from the audience, so is not the best quality BUT in this case, I'd say that this set wouldn't have been so special if it hadn't ended that way: tears and a celebration of this friendship that lasts now 13 years and was the start of my journey to Berlin. - So I had to include it. 

Thank you to everyone that shared this very emotional moment in Seebühne and Dan, thank you for this beautiful path that we share for so long. Thank you João for your time to make the concept outfit specially for this gig.

This was my first time playing in a music streaming ever and I was freaking out about it. It was a mix of being super happy to be part of this beautiful project that is @unitedwestream that brought together the clubs in Berlin for a good cause* and being SUPER nervous with the fact that I would be by myself with absolutely no people with me at this time. 

I hope that you enjoy as much as I did, even tho I was sh*ting on my pants :)

These genres and tempos reflect her beginnings playing booty-body shake with VoodooHop to where she is right now: at the centre of the European dance riot with its clubs of deep beats, mood-encrusted vibes, and nooks and crannies where you can play with anything from lovers to politics between moments inside the music.
