Sydka debuted on MŎNɅDɅ with his massive track "Night Creed" as we closed last year's chapter with PɅRŎUSIɅ IV V/Ʌ. Followed by his equally loved and successful track "Halcyon" which found its place on the label shortly after. His sound is unmistakable and is able to open up new spheres within the versatile downtempo genre. Sydkas productions are to the point, crisp and with a deep groove. Whoever has heard him once, will recognize him again and again.

Dark Hill comes with 3 Originals and has been enhanced with remixes from Nada, Urem, Rubén Coslada and Katabtu, which stylistically underline the release skillfully and are on a par with the originals in the finest way.

Introducing "Derinkuyu" by the talented Turkish artist Kerem Genc. The track draws inspiration from the underground city believed to trace its roots back to around 3000 B.C in the region of Cappadocia. Notably, Derinkuyu stands out with its infrastructure, extending to the deepest parts of the ground and designed to accommodate nearly ten thousand inhabitants, boasting essential resources and maintaining a consistent temperature of 21 degrees across all seasons.

For Kerem Genc, the allure of Derinkuyu lies in its mysterious history and the profound impact it left on him during the creative process of this track. The artist openly shares that the exploration of Derinkuyu's past and the attempt to fathom its events have always fascinated him. Perhaps this fascination stems from envisioning certain occurrences within the underground city.

Adding to the intrigue, Kerem Genc discovered that the Aya Maryeros Underground Abbey in Derinkuyu is recognized as the first mental institution in history. This revelation further fueled his curiosity, prompting him to infuse the track with questioning patterns inspired by human voices. Elemental Vol. 1 moves through earth, air, fire, and water not as metaphors but as emotional states. The songs drift like weather systems, mixing tenderness with atmosphere - acoustic guitars and field-warm vocals meeting the pulse of understated techno rhythms. The production is deliberately porous: wood and wire breathing alongside soft synths and spectral drum-machine traces. It's an "acoustic techno" album in the sense that rhythm and resonance share the same dirt. The songs carry the physical textures of wind in rafters, gravel underfoot, or rain on a roof, yet they shimmer with digital light. This meeting of folk intimacy and electronic timbres gives the album its peculiar gravity - part back-porch confession, part after-hours heartbeat.

Lyrically, Elemental Vol. 1 abandons conventional pop architecture. Instead of verse–chorus–bridge repetition, each piece unfolds as a field poem - free-form, continuous, and responsive to its own inner weather. The writing treats structure as tide rather than grid: refrains return when they need to, not when they're told to. This openness lets the language breathe in sync with the natural imagery that drives it - storms, light, stone, silence - and invites listeners to inhabit the songs as evolving spaces rather than predictable forms. Across the various mixes of its six song poems - We Learn the Sky, Don't Sightsee This Heart, Be a Storm in Me, Til the Heat Is Gone, You Happen Like Weather, and Wild Gifts - the album traces the cycles of intimacy and impermanence, finding in their motion the same quiet power that turns seasons, wheels, and hearts.
