The first vinyl release on Club Glow is here! After a series of tape cassettes exploring the many corners of breakbeat driven rave music and beyond we are pushing things forward with our first 12" EP.

Kicking things off for 001 is Mani Festo's 'All Night EP'. The 4 Tracker features tracks built as far back as 2015, alongside brand new beat science. It's an amalgamation of Mani's influences, with audible nods to Garage, Trip Hop and Dubstep, structured in a way that sounds uniquely his own.

We’re excited to announce our latest guest; Bristol based, rave-scene legend, Borai. Part of the illusive group, Club Glow, alongside Denham Audio, L-Major and Mani Festo, the collective have certainly cemented their place nationally and internationally, pushing unique breakbeat rhythms, infused with a heavy 90’s jungle influence – which has been an integral part of Borai’s mixing DNA for the last 15 years in itself. Though jungle may be the main building block of Borai’s DJing style, years of behind the scenes work in local record stores has paved way for an eclectic track knowledge, including dark garage bangers and energetic dancehall heaters. 

As a producer, Borai’s sound spans from house, to hardcore, to (obviously) jungle, and 2018 saw rise to monumental track ‘Make Me’, produced with Denham Audio and released under self-managed label, Higher Level Records - which Mixmag ranked no. 16 out of the top 50 tracks of that year. Having released under a number of other labels, including Berlin-based Jackoff and Retrofit, as well as Argot Records’ internationally-focused sister label, Tasteful Nudes, based across the pond in the U.S., Borai’s monopoly in the scene has only gone from strength to strength over the years.

The ‘Potholing’ EP takes its name from the definition of ‘underground cave exploration’, with three original tracks that pull you further into the deep, dark sounds of underground rave.

‘Cave Network’ sets the tone for the EP, immersed in acid-like textures, deep sweeping pads and interchanging breaks rhythms. Second in is ’Giant Antlion’ with cosmic style analog arp’s that lift towards a hefty breaks / bass combo, then ‘Blue Demoiselle’ takes you back to the surface with a rolling breaks number smothered in dreamlike pads and uplifting melodics. London based producer - and Ritual Poison co-runner - Corporeal Face ties the EP up with a phenomenal twist on ‘Cave Network’.

BufoBufo - Cave Network (Corporeal Face Remix) [BBC R1, Sherelle Essential Mix]

For the last of our guest mixes for 2020 we've recruited Bournemouth's premier Electro wizard, False Persona. Offering a classic Electro sound, with driving resonant basslines, thuddering kicks and pumping industrial energy - fit to soundtrack dark warehouses the world over. 

Despite his presence in the scene still being in its early years, False Persona has already garnered a considerable following off the back off his various self-releases - 2019's massive "System/Orbit" solidified his place as one to watch amongst the new wave of Electro producers. 

This 45 minutes for Excess is nothing short of slamming, incorporating slices of his trademark sound alongside old school Rave, Techno, Ghetto, Acid and Breaks.
