OBCDN aka Obsidian – for many centuries have been used successfully by crystals gazers and shamans to make contact with the spirit world. The vibration of Obsidian may resonate within the third eye and has a strong vibration to aid the receiving of answers to any questions. OBCDN electronic journey began in late 2008. As trained classical musician, guitarist and pianist he started exploring underground techno scene of the small Lithuanian town “Siauliai”. OBCDN instantly became synthesizers and vinyl enthusiast after his first debut at annual techno festival “Inferno”, where he introduced his own rough industrial, raw and transcendental techno palette. Since 2012 OBCDN is based in UK, but still spreads his sound all the way from the Netherlands, Germany to Lithuania. After years of exploration OBCDN now introduces his 4 track prelude to his never ending electronic music story.

After an incredible CLOSE Tour in Paris, Glasgow and London we are leading into another crazy week, the annual Amsterdam ADE conference.  This year is a special one for me as I’ll be doing a special extended set on Friday October 19th  for Loveland's new All-Nighters concept at Warehouse Houthavens, which gives me plenty of time to weave in and out of lots of special sounds, frequencies and rhythms.  To get you through the week here is the recording of my BPM festival set from just a few weeks ago, which will surely get you in the mood and give you a taste of what to expect on Friday night!

For our new CLR release two artists from the CLR family went on individual missions to remix the MOTOR track "Hyper Lust" (feat. Billie Ray Martin) taken from the recently released and critically acclaimed album 'Man Made Machine'. The first is Monoloc, a very talented DJ and Producer who is currently finishing his debut album for the upcoming release on CLR. The other is Juan Pablo Pfirter, an internationally respected Techno ambassador from Buenos Aires who has been working with the label for years. Each one of them has taken this honorable task as serious as anyone could imagine, and each one of them has created a unique, exiting and dignified remix of the original track.

Monoloc’s take is a rather slow half-beat approach with a thick and well-defined bass, chopped up vocals and innovative effects. It shows much of his characteristic trademark style and has a simultaneously pleasant and slightly alarming vibe. Pfirter delivers the straight forward, yet atmospheric and groovy Techno mix of this EP, and just like Monoloc, he does it with excellence. The choice of sounds, the highly creative programming and the quality of the mix are simply faultless.

The album release of 'Man Made Machine' has crowned the launch of CLR’s new sub-label CLRX, and like the recently released remixes of the title track by Radio Slave, Black Asteroid, Chris Liebing and Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems, this brand new release also pays massive respect to the work of this pioneering Techno duo by the name of MOTOR.
