When it comes down to all the hype, his name says it all. He is Worthy. With an in-depth knowledge of production, mixing, and performance, Worthy has the insight to play for his audience, cultivating intense positive energy on the dance floor. From salty aired islands to dark club basements, over the past 10 years, Worthy has paid reverence to the traditional form of classic house while tripping off the mark and sinking into the euphoric less-charted territories of booty-clapping bass.
 
For the past two years Worthy has been locked up putting the final touches on his debut full-length album.  Disbehave, is a genre-defying rebellion against the house producers status quo. This album cannot be confined to a category, nor can Worthy be caged in with his colleagues. Breaking down rules and boundaries, Worthy has sought to set himself apart from the mundane world of expectation, striking out to release something unexpected.  Liberated and unchained, this album is the ultimate expression of his being.
 
As one of the four founding fathers of Dirtybird, you will find some homage to the Dirtybird sound on tracks like I Get. But this album departs from his usual booty tech beats, into a broader sonic experiment as he forges new alliances with future bass, downtempo, breakbeat and deep house. You can hear the broadness and complexity of sounds on tracks like On The Floor feat. Kevin Knapp (Off, Hot Creations) with its heavy bass to the beauty of swelling chords and swirling vocals on tracks like The Words feat. Audio Angel. Reminiscent of the early days of the electronic sound movement that were less imbued with genre stereo-typing, Disbehave is an emotional departure into a complex cavern of atmospheric rhythm, eluding to the many moods of the dance music sphere.

HEAD MASTERS TWR72’S SEQUEL RELEASE ON FLOAT RECORDS IS CALLED 'DEFORM'.

Their journey to examine the perfect groove continues with these two straight forward tracks. The original Deform infiltrates onto the lower parts of the groove where the spacious tom bass challenges the main percussion bass. As a result, an uncommon groove appears, which gets stimulated by an suddenly appearing unusual sound continuing throughout the track.

The linear version is even more stripped down to the essence of the grooves purpose. The obvious title refers to the broken down and straight forward character, however without losing the focus of the original.

During these days where lo-fi analogue house productions seems to be the it thing, its time to dig out a release by one of the true pioneers of house music. Not an outsider but one of the names thats been around forever and thats known for several timeless house classics. Almost 20 years after its original release date we are happy to share this forgotten and overlooked gem by Roy Davis Jr. - Roy's Chicago Basement Traxx.
Originally released as 4 track ep on Kumba Records, but we thought it was appropriate to shine some light on our three favorites, Chemical Warfare, Jack Da Rhythms and Broken Machines. Three dirty, raw, jacking and most of all intense tracks, that are among the best things that came out of Chicago. Jerking rhythms, hypnotic synths and live arrangements stripped to the bare essential! Endless respect to Roy Davis Jr. for being such a versatile and inspirational producer.

Oh and this one is not changing hands for big money (which we see so often as sales argument). Untill recently it actually always used to be pretty cheap on Discogs ;-)

Suicideyear follows his debut album Remembrance with a session of hip-hop and smudged electronics. 

Although Remembrance is a solo record, James Prudhomme emerged on most people's radars as a collaborator, releasing music with the likes of Yung Lean and Main Attrakionz on vocals. Although he still collaborates with vocalists - he teamed up with Rome Fortune on 'Trap Lady' this Summer - Remembrance sees him further step out as an artist in his own right, blending hip-hop drum grids with drifting synthwork and reflections on loss (the album's title, Prudhomme tells us, "stems from my attempt to accept the loss and difficulty of the past year without dwelling, instead trying to move on.”) It even closes on a My Bloody Valentine cover; no wonder it found a home on the Software label.

Suicideyear's FACT mix should come as no surprise to fans of his music: like Remembrance, and his 2013 mixtape Japan, he mines hip-hop and electronica tracks for their most heartstring-tugging elements and focuses squarely on those - whether that's an interlude from Drake's Take Care pitched down, or a refix of Robert Miles' 'Children'. Fans of Ryan Hemsworth and Morri$'s past sessions for FACT - you're in for a treat.
