Red Black is the alter ego of Nicolás Cárdenas, a DJ and producer from Bogotá, Colombia. His sound is shaped by raw, deep, hypnotic, hard groove and Detroit techno — always driven by tribal percussion, sharp high frequencies, and powerful basslines that dominate the mix.

He is the founder of @raw_bogota, a platform dedicated to promoting underground techno culture in Bogotá, creating space for subgenres like raw, deep, mental, Detroit and hypnotic techno in the capital’s scene.

His productions are crafted with the dancefloor in mind, blending emotion, energy, and rhythm. Obsessed with high-fidelity sound — a legacy from his audiophile father — Red Black constantly pursues clarity and depth in every track.

He has released music on respected labels such as Diffuse Reality (Berlin/Barcelona) and T&ne Records (France), Wrd, DZB and L-Onn , and continues to explore his unique blend of Latin-rooted techno through both self-releases and collaborations.
